SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS
This electric hot pot is designed to Boil, Braise, Fry, Sauté, and Deep Fry. It features adjustable heating power ( I= 300w , II= 600W) and a non-stick inner pot for easy cleaning.
IMPORTANT: Please check all packaging material carefully before discarding as there may be accessory parts contained within the packaging material.
- Before your first use, clean the inner pot (and stainless steel steamer if included) with a damp cloth with non-abrasive soap. Do not submerge the unit under water. Make sure to dry all parts thoroughly.
- The Lid (and steamer tray for model HPS-3172W) can be washed under running water also using a non-abrasive sponge and soap. Make sure to dry all parts thoroughly before using the appliance.
- Before first use, add water to the maximum water level line, then boil the water and pour it out. This will clean the product and make it ready for use.5
Using Your Hot Pot Attention: During the first use the heating element undergoes a minor chemical reaction that may result in a slight odor and/or minor smoking. It quickly goes away. NOTE: Boil-dry protection automatically switches off the heating element when there is no water left or no food cooking in the Hot Pot during use.
1. Place the Hot Pot on a sturdy flat and dry surface.
2. Insert the power cord firmly into the socket and make sure it is securely in place.
3. Plug the Hot Pot into the nearest Electric Outlet.
4. Press on the desired Heating Speed ‘I’ for Low Power or ‘II’ High Power (faster heating).
CAUTION: Do not overfill the appliance above the ‘MAX’ line.
5. Add your ingredients to the Hot Pot and gently stir using only plastic or wood utensils
(not included) during cooking, as metal can scratch and damage the stainless steel.
6. Once cooking is completed, turn the Control Switch to ‘O’ for Off, unplug the appliance
and disconnect the power cord from the Hot Pot.
7. Let stand and cool before cleaning (15 minutes).
NOTE: When there is no water in the Hot Pot or if the water runs out (or no food is on hot pot) during use, the boil-dry protection automatically switches off the heating element. Should this happen, turn the power switch off, unplug the unit, and disconnect the power cord, and allow it to cool before continuing to use or storing. Using as a Steamer (Model HPS-3172W):
1. Place the Hot Pot on a sturdy, flat, and dry surface.
2. Insert the power cord firmly into the socket and ensure it is securely in place.
3. Plug the Hot Pot into the nearest electrical outlet.
4. Add 3 cups of water (or additional cups as needed) to the Hot Pot.
5. Place the food to be steamed in the steam tray, then place the tray on top of the
Hot Pot. Ensure that the steam tray is securely seated on top of the Hot Pot.
6. Place the lid securely on top of the steam tray.
7. Press the desired heating setting: ‘I’ for Low Power or ‘II’ for High Power (faster
heating). Note: Ensure there is enough room inside the steam tray and under the lid for adequate steaming. To prevent overcooking, remove the steamed food immediately once it is cooked. Wear protective, heat-resistant gloves to prevent injury, as the steam tray will be hot.
8. Once cooking is completed, turn the control switch to ‘O’ for Off, unplug the
appliance, and disconnect the power cord from the Hot Pot.
9. Allow the Hot Pot to stand and cool for 15 minutes before cleaning.6
Warning: Always unplug the appliance and allow it to cool before cleaning or storing.
Notice: Never immerse the unit, plug, or cord in water or any other liquid.
- Wash the Hot Pot by hand using non-abrasive cleaners and pads with warm water.
- To prolong the life of your hot pot we recommend not submerging the appliance. Use a water recipient to pour water in and carefully discard.
- Do not use steel wool pads as they can damage the surface. You can use stainless steel cleaning agents.
- The glass lid can be washed under running water with mild dish soap.
- Rinse all parts thoroughly and dry. Reassemble and store in a cool, dry place. Away from the reach of children. Descaling: Descaling is the removal of mineral deposits from stainless steel. All water contains minerals including purified and filtered water. After your hot pots first use, you may see the first signs of deposits which may be white to reddish brown in color. These stains are not rust nor are they toxic. To descale your Hot Pot, fill it full of water, add a small amount of white vinegar, and boil. Unplug the Hot Pot and allow the solution to sit for an hour. For darker stains leave overnight. This will remove most deposits that have been built up from normal use. Rinse out solution, add fresh water, and boil again. Allow to cool, follow with thorough cleaning, and dry before next use.
