How do I reset the light chain?

Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds until the LED strip flashes quickly.

Why won't my light chain connect to WiFi?

Make sure you are using a 2.4 GHz WiFi network. The Nedis SmartLife app only supports this band. Check that your phone is connected to the same network and that the product is in pairing mode (quick flashing).

How do I switch to AP (Access Point) mode?

Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds (quick flashing), then press and hold again for 5 seconds (slow flashing). In the app, select AP Mode at the top right when adding.

What should I do if the LED strip does not light up?

Check that the USB adapter provides 5V/1A and that the cable is properly connected. Try resetting the product.

The music mode does not work, why?

Press the music button to activate the mode. The microphone picks up ambient sound; if the sound is too low, move closer or increase the volume.

Can I use this light chain outdoors?

No, the product is designed for indoor use only. Do not expose it to water or moisture.

How do I change the color of the light chain?

Press the color button on the controller or use the Nedis SmartLife app to choose from millions of colors.

What is the maximum length of the light chain?

The light chain is 5 meters (500 cm) long, with a 1-meter power cable.

Can I cut or extend the LED strip?

No, the light chain is non-modifiable. Do not cut the strip or you may damage the product.

Intended use

This product is a USB-powered string of lights, intended for lighting indoor environments.

The product is intended for indoor use only.

Do not let persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge of how to operate, use the product.

Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the product. This product is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or a separate remote control system.

This product can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the product in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the product. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be done by children without supervision.

Any modification of the product may have consequences for safety, warranty and proper functioning.

Installing the Nedis SmartLife app

1. Download the Nedis Smartlife app for Android or iOS on your phone via Google Play or the Apple App Store.
2. Open the Nedis Smartlife app on your phone.
3. Create an account with your mobile phone number or your e-mail address and tap Continue.
4. Enter the received verification code.
5. Create a password and tap Done.
6. Tap Add Home to create a SmartLife Home.
7. Set your location, choose the rooms you want to connect with and tap Done.

Installing the product

1. Connect the USB cable A 1 to a USB power adapter (not included).
2. The light strip starts flashing quickly.

The power button A2 for 5 seconds to reset the product if the light strip does not flashes quickly.

1. Tap + in the Nedis SmartLife app.
2. Select 'LED strip' from the list of available products.
3. Tap to confirm.
4. Enter the password of the 2,4 GHz Wi-Fi network to which your phone is connected and tap Confirm.
5. Rename the product after it has been found and added.

If the above connection method fails, the product can be connected using AP mode:

1. Press and hold A2 for 5 seconds.
   A7 flashes quickly.
2. Press and hold A again for 5 seconds.
   A7 flashes slowly.
3. Tap + in the Nedis SmartLife app.
4. Under Add Manually, tap LED strip.
5. Tap AP Mode in the top right corner.
6. Follow steps 5 till 7 of the regular connection method.

Using the product

The product can be controlled with the Nedis SmartLife app via a Wi-Fi connection from any location.

The home menu of the Nedis SmartLife app shows a control tile for each connected lamp and/or group.

• Press the power button A2 to switch on the product.
• Press A 4 to enter Music mode.

The microphone A 5 changes the light colour when it detects sound.

• Press A 3 to change the colour of A 7.
• Press A 2 to switch the product off.
