How to prepare food for dehydration?
Wash and cut fruits, vegetables, herbs, meats or fish into thin slices. Place them on the trays without overlapping. Use at least 3 trays. For small items, use the fine mesh inserts.

Safety Precautions

CAUTION!

This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory and mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision. Children of less than 3 years should be kept away unless continuously supervised.

Children aged from 3 years and less than 8 years shall only switch on/off the appliance provided that it has been placed or installed in its intended normal operating position and they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.

Children aged from 3 years and less than 8 years shall not plug in, regulate and clean the appliance or perform user maintenance.

  • Before connecting the appliance to the power supply, check that the voltage indicated on the appliance corresponds with the voltage at your home.
  • Please be careful of hot surfaces and do not touch them as they might cause burns.
  • Please refrain from further usage if the power cord, power plug or the appliance are damaged and contact your seller.
  • Please do not use the appliance for other than its

Operation

• Before first usage:

Please remove all packaging materials and clean all trays and inlay mats in accordance with the section "Cleaning". Place the inlay mats on the trays and stack the trays on top of each other as shown in the section "Components". Please connect the appliance to the power supply.
When the appliance is used for the first time, it must be put into operation for 30 minutes without any content. Possible smoke or odour development due to production-related residues are normal during this time. Please ensure adequate ventilation. When the time is over, the trays and inlay mats must be cleaned again. To do so, please remove the appliance from the power supply (see section "Cleaning").

- Preparation:

Please prepare the food to be dried. Fruit, vegetables, herbs, nuts, bread, meat or fish are suitable for the drying process. For vegetables and fruit it is recommended to cut them into thin slices.
- Spread your prepared food on the trays while starting with the lowest one. Make sure that there is space between two slices of food. Do not overfill the trays. Please always use at least three trays to ensure the functionality of the appliance.
The fine-meshed inlay mats can be used for particularly fine or small foods. If required, the height of the trays can be adjusted as well. For bigger food, arrange the trays in a way that the clips of two trays are positioned directly on top of each other, as shown in the following picture:

- As soon as you have finished the preparation, close the uppermost tray with the lid.

  • Please connect the appliance to the power supply. An acoustic signal sounds.
    ○ Switch the appliance on by using the on/off button. Every operation on the control panel is accompanied acoustically. The display shows the default setting "10.00" which indicates a drying time of 10 hours. As soon as the dot between the hours and minutes flashes, the drying process begins. Due to the built-in fan, warm air is circulated evenly over all floors, drying your food.
  • Use the timer setting button on the control panel to adjust the drying time between "00.30"

(30min.) and "19.30" (19hrs. 30min.) as required in steps of 30min. each. The appliance takes over your setting after three seconds. The remaining time is displayed.

The temperature can be set between 35° C and 70° C in 5° C steps depending on the desired dryness and thickness of the food using the temperature setting button. The appliance takes over your setting after three seconds.
Please note that in addition to the thickness of your food, the quantity, number of trays and humidity can also influence the drying process.
- If you notice uneven drying, rotate or change the stacking order of the trays.
As soon as your set time has elapsed, the appliance switches off automatically. An acoustic signal sounds and the fan continues to run for 10 seconds until the unit switches off completely. If you want to end the drying process before the time ends, press the on/off button.
The unit must not be used continuously for longer than 19.5 hours. Press the on/off button after 19.5 hours, disconnect the appliance from the power supply and allow it to cool for at least two hours before putting the appliance back into operation.
Once you are satisfied with the result, remove the unit from the power supply and take out your dried food.

- Storage:

  • Please allow your food to cool completely before storing it in a cool, dry and dark place.
  • Store the dried food as airtight as possible and never place it directly in a metal container.
    Please check your dried food for moisture during the weeks after the drying process. If there is moisture inside the food, you can dry the food again to extend its shelf life.
    o Dried fruit, vegetables, herbs, nuts or bread stored in a refrigerator or freezer should not be stored for more than one year.
    o Dried meat or fish should not be kept in the refrigerator for more than three months and not longer than a year if kept in the freezer.

Cleaning

  • Always disconnect the appliance from the power outlet and let it cool before cleaning. Never immerse the appliance in water to prevent electric shocks.
  • Please wipe the surfaces of the trays and inlay mats with a damp cloth. Food residues can be removed with a soft brush or cloth. If necessary, regular detergent can be used. Please note that all components of this appliance are not suitable for dishwashers.
  • Wipe over the exterior of the appliance with a soft wet cloth and then wipe dry with a dry cloth.
  • Please do not use any aggressive or chemical cleaning agents or abrasive cleaning agents, such as steel wool.
  • The unit and its components must be completely dry before operation or storage.

In case of complaint

• You can claim the device within 24 months from date of purchase (receipt).
- A free replacement or repair will be excluded from prior improper product handling.
- Defects in wear parts, consumables, as well as cleaning, maintenance or replacement of said parts are therefore with costs.

- Without a proof of purchase, generally there will be no repair or replacement.
- In the event that the complaint case is analogous to our terms of service, all defects of the device or its accessories due to material or manufacturing defects will be eliminated by repair or, at our discretion, replacing the unit.
- The damage of accessories does not automatically lead to a free exchange of the whole device. In these cases, please contact your dealer. Glass breakage, or breakage of plastic parts are always to charge.
- The dealer or repair service can perform the repair after the expiration of warranty against charge.
