How to set the time on the machine?

Press the PROG button until 'SET TIME' is displayed. Use the HOUR and MIN buttons to set the desired time.

How to program an automatic start?

Press PROG until 'SET TIMER'. Set the start time with HOUR and MIN. Then press ON/OFF once (green light), then a second time (red light) to activate programming.

Why is the coffee flowing slowly?

This may be due to coffee ground too finely or a dirty nylon filter. Use a coarser grind and clean the filter under running water.

What to do if water leaks from the lid?

Make sure the coffee maker is properly centered under the coffee outlet. Adjust its position to avoid overflow.

How to descale the machine?

Fill the tank with a mixture of 1/4 white vinegar and 3/4 cold water. Run a cycle without coffee. Repeat until yellow residue disappears, then rinse with clean water.

Can I use regular ground coffee?

Yes, use medium grind coffee. Avoid very fine grinds that can clog the filter and slow down flow.

How to clean the nylon filter?

Remove the filter and rinse it under running water. For deep cleaning, use a soft brush. Replace it if worn out.

Does the machine shut off automatically?

Yes, the machine automatically turns off after 2 hours of inactivity. You can also turn it off manually with the ON/OFF button.

What to do if the machine stops working?

Check that the water tank is not empty and that the plug is properly connected. If the problem persists, contact customer service.

What is the maximum water capacity?

The maximum capacity is 1.2 liters. Do not exceed the maximum mark on the tank.

Please read this user's manual carefully to ensure proper use and maintenance and keep this instruction manual for future reference.

General Safety Instructions

1. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
2. The appliance may only be used in the household and for the purpose for which it was produced.
3. Please make sure that the main voltage and current rating correspond with the power supply of the appliance.
4. Please don't touch hot surfaces. Please use handles or knobs.
5. Please use the device only on flat surfaces to prevent tip-over.
6. Do not use the appliance outdoor or close to heat sources.
7. The device may not be kept outdoors, at places with extreme temperatures or high humidity.
8. Please avoid that the power cord passes over sharp corners or edges, touches hot surfaces or comes into contact with hot parts. Please keep the unit away from curtains.
9. The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote-control system.
10. The use of an extension cord or similar parts is prohibited.
11. The use of additional, non recommended accessories may cause injury or deletion of all warranty claims.
12. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or a qualified person. Never use the appliance with a damaged cord or plug.
13. Please remove the plug from the wall socket:

- in case of any malfunction,

- in case that the appliance won't be used for longer time,

before cleaning.

When removing the plug from the wall socket, please never pull on the power cord.

1. To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse cord, plug, or any non-removable parts of this appliance in water or other liquids.
2. Let the appliance cool down before you add or remove parts.
3. Let the appliance cool down before moving, transportation, maintenance and Care or storage.

Specific safety instructions

1. Please don't use the appliance without water.
2. Please don't fill in water when the unit is on or still hot. Please allow the appliance to cool down for 5 minutes by switching off the unit.

How to use

Before the first use:

1. Please remove all packaging materials.
2. Place the unit on a flat and stable surface.
3. Before first use, please rinse the appliance with warm water as follows:

- Pour 1200ml water into water tank.

• Set the nylon filter in the funnel (add no coffee ground), then place the water tank cover.
• Place the coffee pot on the plate.
• Connect the appliance to the power source, 12:00 will be shown on the display.
• Press ON/OFF button once, the green indicator is illuminated, and press ON/OFF button again, the red indicator is illuminated, water will drop out automatically after a few seconds.
  • After the water tank is empty and the coffee maker stops working, please empty the coffee pot by pour the water away.

Brewing coffee:

1. Open the water tank cover and pour proper drinking water into the water tank according to the mark in the tank.
2. Add ground coffee to the nylon filter with a measuring spoon. A spoon grounded coffee can make a cup of top-grade coffee, but you can adjust according to the taste of yourself.
3. Replace the water tank cover, and then connect the appliance to the power supply, the display will show 12:00.
4. Set the nylon mesh into the funnel.
5. Put the coffee pot on the plate. Please pay attention to let center line the coffee pot aligns with that of the funnel.
6. Press down ON/OFF button once, the green indicator is illuminated, and press ON/OFF button again, the red indicator is illuminated, and coffee will drop out automatically after a few seconds. Note: at any time, you can take out the coffee pot to serve but the time cannot exceed 30 seconds, otherwise the coffee may overflow from the edge of funnel.
7. The coffee maker will turn into standby mode if brewing coffee is finished. The unit will switch off automatically after two hours.

Set the clock and automatic start up

Set the clock:

1. Press the „PROG-Button“

2. As soon as the display shows „SET TIME“, please set the time with „HOUR -“ and „MIN - Button“.

Programming automatic start up:

1. Press "PROG-button" for timer setting.
2. When LCD display shows "SET TIMER", press the "HOUR-button" and the "MIN-button" to set the time for auto power on from 0:00 to 23:59.
3. Press "ON/OFF-button". The green lamp turns on. The green lamp turns off and the red lamp turns on if the unit starts making coffee.
4. Press "ON/OFF-button" again to cancel the automatic start-up.

Warning: Do not leave the coffee maker unattended during making the coffee.

Maintenance and care

• Make sure the plug is removed from the power supply. Please make sure, the coffee maker is completely cooled down before starting to clean.
• Clean the water tank and drip tray regularly.
  • Note: Do not clean with alcohol or solvent cleanser. Never immerse the housing in water for cleaning.
  • Detach the funnel and scale it from coffee residue. Clean it with a mild cleaner by using a soft cloth.
• Clean all the attachments in the water and dry thoroughly.

Warning: Do not immerse cord, plug, or any non-removable parts of this appliance in water or other liquids.

CLEANING MINERAL DEPOSITS

To keep your coffee maker operating efficiently, you should clean away the mineral deposits left by the water every three months or according to the water quality in your area and the frequency as follows:

1. fill one part of white vinegar and three parts of cold water into the coffee pot, pour the water and vinegar mixture into the tank. Please do not add ground coffee.
2. For further steps, please refer to "How to use". Please repeat this action until the water does not show any yellow residue.
3. At last, please repeat this action with tap water only.

Troubeshooting

In case of complaint

• You can claim the device within 24 months from date of purchase (receipt).
• A free replacement or repair will be excluded from prior improper product handling.
  • Defects in wear parts, consumables, as well as cleaning, maintenance or replacement of said parts are therefore with costs.
• If you want to make a complaint, please bring the entire device in its original packaging and with proof of purchase to your dealer. For a timely and convenient service register, visit our website www.homeessentials.de and learn more.
• Without a proof of purchase, generally there will be no repair or replacement.
• In the event that the complaint case is analogous to our terms of service, all defects of the device or its accessories due to material or manufacturing defects will be eliminated by repair or, at our discretion, replacing the unit.
• The damage of accessories does not automatically lead to a free exchange of the whole device. In these cases, please contact your dealer. Glass breakage, or breakage of plastic parts are always to charge.
  • The dealer or repair service can perform the repair after the expiration of warranty against charge.

This product must not be disposed of via normal household waste after its service life, but must be taken to a collection station for the recycling of electrical and electronic devices.
