Frequently Asked Questions - BQ2815 Brixton

How to assemble the BQ2815 barbecue?
Follow the steps in the manual: assemble the support leg (10A) into the leg base (10B) until it clicks, secure with a washer and screw. Mount the lower and upper tubes with the decorative ring, then fix the condiment tray. Place the appliance base on the support, insert the fat tray, then the grill plate and finally the cover.
How to use the barbecue for the first time?
Remove all packaging and wash the grill plate, fat tray and cover (they are dishwasher safe). Dry thoroughly. Plug in the appliance, set the thermostat to maximum and heat covered for 10 minutes without food to eliminate manufacturing residues. A slight odor and smoke may appear, which is normal.
What temperature setting for steaks?
The manual recommends setting 5 for steaks/beef, with a cooking time of 15 to 20 minutes. Use tongs to turn the meat and avoid a fork to prevent piercing the surface.
Can I use accessories not supplied?
No, using accessories not recommended by the manufacturer may cause injury and void the warranty. Only use the parts supplied or approved.
How to clean the grill plate?
Let the appliance cool down, unplug it and remove the removable thermostat. Clean the grill plate and fat tray with hot water and a damp cloth. You can also put them in the dishwasher. Never use metal scouring pads or abrasives to preserve the non-stick coating.
What if food sticks to the plate?
If food sticks, rub the plate with a piece of paper towel soaked in oil. This helps reactivate the non-stick coating. Avoid using metal utensils that could scratch the surface.
Can the barbecue be used outdoors?
Yes, the barbecue can be used outdoors, but the manual specifies that the cover must be placed in dome position when used outdoors. Make sure it is placed on a stable and level surface, protected from bad weather.
How to store the barbecue after use?
Let the appliance cool down, clean it thoroughly, then store it in a dry place. For prolonged protection, wrap it in a plastic bag to avoid dust and dirt.
What to do in case of malfunction?
If the appliance does not work properly, first check the plug and cord. Do not attempt to repair it yourself. Contact a qualified electrician (manufacturer's after-sales service). In case of a problem under warranty (24 months), return the complete appliance with the original packaging and receipt to the retailer.
What is the warranty period for the Brixton BQ2815?
The warranty is 24 months from the date of purchase, upon presentation of the receipt. It covers manufacturing defects and material defects. Damages due to improper use or unauthorized repairs are not covered.

TIPS FOR GRILLING

  • Your meat will be tendered if you marinade it overnight before cooking (the marinade is always made of oil (to add moistness), vinegar (to tenderize) and a mixture of seasonings).
    • Always use tongs or some form of scoop to turn the grilled food (using a fork to turn the food will dry it out and damage the non-stick coating).
  • Turn meat and fish only once during grilling. Turning the food too often will lead to dehydration.
  • Never cook meat too long.
  • In case the cooked food sticks to the grill plate, rub the plate with a piece of kitchen paper soaked in oil.
