USER MANUAL HF21F25 011 HOOVER
This appliance should only be used for domestic cleaning, as described in this user guide. Please ensure that this guide is fully understood before operating the appliance. Always switch off and remove the charger from the socket before cleaning the appliance or any maintenance task. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and people with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision. If the power cord is damaged stop using the appliance immediately. To avoid a safety hazard, an authorized Hoover service engineer must replace the power cord. Keep hands, feet, loose clothing and hair away from rotating brushes. Use only the original charger supplied with the appliance. Check that your supply voltage is the same as that stated on the charger. This appliance is supplied with a double insulated battery charger. Plug the charger in to suitable socket outlet and connect the charger jack plug to the appliance. Switch off the appliance before charging. During storage and charging, secure your appliance handle into the product holder. The led indicator light will remain lit red when charging and turning to white when fully charged. Re-connect the appliance to the charger after use to recharge the battery. Do not unplug the charger by pulling on the power cord. Unplug the charger in the event of prolonged absence (Recharge product again before use as battery may self discharge over increased periods of storage). If the vacuum cleaner or used battery is to be disposed of the batteries should be removed. Used batteries should be taken to a recycling station and not disposed of with household waste. To remove the batteries, please contact the Hoover Customer Service Centre or proceed according to the following instructions: NOTE: Should you experience any difficulty in dismantling the unit or for more detailed information on treatment, recovery and recycling of this2 appliance, please contact your local city office or your household waste disposal service. IMPORTANT: Always fully discharge the batteries before removal and ensure charger is unplugged. End of Product Life Battery Disposal Dispose of the batteries safely.

Any static discharge is not hazardous to health. Do not use your appliance out of doors or on any wet surface or for wet pick up. Do not pick up hard or sharp objects, matches, hot ashes, cigarette ends or other similar items. Do not spray with or pick up flammable liquids, cleaning fluids, aerosols or their vapors. Do not run over the power cord when using your appliance or remove the plug by pulling on the power cord. Do not continue to use your appliance or charger if it appears faulty. Do not use the appliance to clean animals or people. Do not replace the batteries with non-rechargeable batteries. Main Cleaner with Motorized Nozzle Turn the cleaner on by sliding the On/Off switch to the following settings [4]:
- FLOORS: The cleaner is ready to clean with the main motorised nozzle.
- TURBO: The cleaner is ready to fully power for hard cleaning tasks. Handheld Cleaner
- Press the handheld release button, lift the handheld unit from the main body. [5]
- Press On-Off button, the cleaner is ready to clean. [6] To ensure the reliability of the product is not affected if used under arduous conditions, the product features with safety protection system on the nozzle. If the agitator has a blockage or is locked, once actioned, the agitator will stop rotating, the LED lights on the front of the nozzle will flash 5 times, then go out and the LED indicator on handheld unit will turn red. [7] If this happens, simply switch off your product and clean the agitator obstruction.
1. Unfold the handle to the main body until it locks in place. [1]
2. Attach the nozzle to the main body, push firmly until it locks in place. [2]
3. To fully charge the appliance, connect the charger jack plug to the battery pack. It will take around
2.5Hrs for 22.2V and 25.9V models and 5 Hrs for 18.5V model. [3]

IMPORTANT: When charging the cleaner, the On/Off switch must be OFF. *Certain Models Only. GBCLEANER MAINTENANCE Emptying the Dust Container
1. Ensure your cleaner is switched off.
2. Press the handheld release button and remove the handheld unit from your cleaner. [5]
3. Press the dust container release button and remove the dust container, place the handheld aside. [12]
4. Hold the dust container over a dust bin, lift the metal hook and pull to remove the separation system.
Empty the contents of the dust container into the bin and place aside. [13] Note: The dusting brush provided with your cleaner can also be used as a cleaning tool to remove the large debris from the separation system into the dust bin. Cleaning the Filter & Separation system
1. Grasp the metal mesh and, using the metal ring, rotate the pre-motor filter anti-clockwise pulling it
apart to remove and place aside. [14]
2. Remove the foam filter from the separation system. [14]
3. Wash the dust container, white pre-motor filter, foam filter and separation unit in lukewarm water and
leave to dry for 24 Hrs. [15]
4. Once thoroughly dry, re-assemble the foam filter to the separation unit, re-assemble the pre-motor
filter to the separation unit ensuring they are correctly aligned and re-assemble to the dust container. [16] 5 Re-assemble the dust container assembly to the handheld unit and re-fit onto your cleaner. NOTE: Do not use hot water or detergents when cleaning the filters. In the unlikely event of the filters becoming damaged, fit a genuine Hoover replacement. Do not try to use the product without a filter fitted. IMPORTANT: For optimum performance, always keep your filter clean. We recommend that the filter should be washed at least once a month. Changing and Cleaning the Agitator IMPORTANT: Always switch OFF the cleaner before changing the agitator.
1. Open the agitator Release Button outward. [17]
2. Remove the agitator. [17]
3. Replace with the new agitator or clean it by using scissors. [17]
4. Re- fit the agitator and press the Agitator Release Button until it locks in place.
BATTERY USAGE ACCESSORIES When the battery is discharging the LED indicator is white. [8] When the battery capacity is lower than 15%, the LED indicator will begin to flash. [8] When this happens, you should stop cleaning and immediately recharge your battery. [3] When charging the product, the switch on/off must be OFF. The charging time of the product is 2.5Hrs for 22.2V and 25.9V models and 5 Hrs for 18.5V model. When the battery is fully charged the LED indicator will illuminate white. [8] NOTE: It is normal for the charger to become warm to touch when charging. Use only the charger supplied with your product. The accessory is stored at the rear of the main body, they can be fitted directly onto the handheld unit.

2. Dusting brush is ideal for cleaning surfaces without damaging or scratching. [10]
Take it out from the rear of the main body before use [9a] and put it back after use. [9b] IMPORTANT: For storage, the product handle can be fixed into the wall mount [11a] or it can be folded for easy storage. [11b]
*Certain Models Only. GBBattery Replacement When the batteries fail to maintain charge, please contact the Hoover Customer Service Centre to obtain a replacement battery. [18] IMPORTANT: Don’t remove or install batteries without authorization. TROUBLE SHOOTING Should you have any problem with you cleaner, follow this simple check list before calling the Hoover Customer Service Centre. A. Cleaner does not switch on Check if the cleaner is charged. B. Loss of suction or no suction Empty the dust container and wash the pre- motor filter and Single Cyclone Vortex Finder. Remove nozzle and check for any blockages in the duct. C. Batteries cannot be charged This may be a result of very long storage periods (over half year). Contact Hoover customer service to arrange battery replacement. If the problem persists, contact the Hoover customer service center.
Always replace parts with genuine Hoover spares. These are available from your local Hoover dealer or direct from Hoover. When ordering parts always quote your model number. YOUR GUARANTEE The guarantee conditions for this appliance are as defined by our representative in the country in which it is sold. Details regarding these conditions can be obtained from the dealer from whom the appliance was purchased. The bill of sale or receipt must be produced when making any claim under the terms of this guarantee. IMPORTANT: The battery in this cleaner is guaranteed for 6 months from the date of purchase.
