Instruction Manual Thank you for choosing our product. We hope you will enjoy using the appliance. Symbols in these Instruction Manual Important information for your safety is specially marked. It is essential to comply with these instructions in order to avoid accidents and prevent damage to the machine:

This warns you of dangers to your health and indicates possible injury risks. CAUTION: This refers to possible hazards to the machine or other objects. General Notes Read the operating instructions carefully before putting the appliance into operation and keep the instructions including the warranty, the receipt and, if possible, the box with the internal packing. If you give this appliance to other people, please also pass on the operating instructions.

• The appliance is designed exclusively for private use and for the envisaged purpose. This appliance is not t for commercial use.

• Do not use it outdoors. Keep it away from sources of heat, direct sunlight, humidity (never dip it into any liquid) and sharp edges. Do not use the appliance with wet hands. If the appliance is humid or wet, unplug it immediately.

• When cleaning or putting it away, switch off the appliance and always pull out the plug from the socket (pull the plug itself, not the lead) if the appliance is not being used and remove the attached accessories.

• Do not operate the machine without supervision. If you leave the room you should always turn the appliance off. Remove the plug from the socket.

• The appliance and the mains lead have to be checked regularly for signs of damage. If damage is found the appliance must not be used.

• Use only original spare parts.

• In order to ensure your children’s safety, please keep all packaging (plastic bags, boxes, polystyrene etc.) out of their reach.

Do not allow small children to play with the foil. There is a danger of suffocation! • As additional protection we recommend the installation of a fault current protection appliance (FI / RCD) with a rated current of not more than 30 mA in the wiring system of the bathroom. Please contact an authorised electrician for advice.

• Risk of burns! The attachments get hot during use. Avoid contact with skin. Be exercise special care when changing attachments.

• Make sure the air intake grille remains free from uff and hair. Risk of re!

• Always place the appliance on a heat resistant, stable and at sur- face.

• Make sure the mains cable does not touch the hot attachment.

• Keep the appliance away from easily ammable objects and mate- rials when switched on.

• Never cover the hot appliance with towels, clothes or other objects.

• Always turn off the appliance and disconnect the plug after use.

• Do not repair the appliance by yourself. Always contact an author- ized technician. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualied persons in order to avoid a hazard.

• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capa- bilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.

• Children must not play with the appliance.

• This appliance is not intended to be immersed in water during cleaning. Please observe the instructions that we have included for you in the chapter “Cleaning”. WARNING: Risk of burns!

If you want to change an attachment directly after use, let the appliance cool down rst! Refer to the markings on the main unit and the attachments.

1. Select a desired attachment. Insert the attachment so

that the arrow on the base unit and the arrow on the attachment are aligned precisely above each other. The attachment must audibly engage.

2. To loosen the attachment, hold down the button on the

appliance and pull the attachment upwards. Commissioning

• Remove all packaging material.

• Unwind the mains cable completely.

• Fit one attachment. Electrical Connection

• Before inserting the plug into the socket, make sure that the mains voltage to be used matches that of the appli- ance. You can nd this information on the nameplate.

• Connect the appliance to a properly installed earthed socket. Use Switch Positions The appliance has a switch with 4 settings. The labeling and selected setting can be found above the slide switch. You can select the following functions: 0 = Off C = Cold setting for style x I = Medium temperature II = High temperature Using the Round Brushes The round brushes feature different diameters. Select a brush according to the desired size of curls.

• Comb your hair and separate it into single strands.

• Twist one hair strand around the brush starting from the tips all the way to the hairline. Keep holding the appliance in that position for several seconds until the desired degree of drying and styling has been achieved.

• Then unwind the hair strand again.

• Blow-dry your hair strand by strand. After Use

• Let your hair cool down completely before continuing to style it.

• Do not comb your hair afterwards if you want to keep the curls strong. Just use your ngers for styling. Switch-Off After use, slide the switch to position “0” and disconnect from the mains. Storage

• Leave the appliance to cool before putting it away!

• To do so, place the appliance onto one side of the hous- ing or hang it up by the suspension eye. Mains Cable

• The mains cable should only be wound up loosely.

• Never tie the cable tightly round the appliance, as over time this may result in the cable breaking.

• Before cleaning remove the mains lead from the socked.

• Under no circumstances should you immerse the appliance in wa- ter for cleaning purposes. Otherwise this might result in an electric shock or re.

• Allow the appliance to cool down completely before cleaning! Risk of burns! CAUTION:

• Remove hair from the attachments after every use.

• Clean the housing and the attachment with a damp cloth, if necessary.

• Allow all parts to dry completely before using them again Air Intake Grille Please clean the grill on the air intake side of the hairdryer regularly in order to avoid excessive temperatures as a result of heat accumulation.

• Twist the air-intake grid towards and slide it down. CAUTION: Be careful when opening! Do not dent the air-intake grid.

• Remove any dirt that is present.

• If necessary, a ne brush can be used.
