The appliance does not work after turning the ON/OFF button, what to do?

First check that the appliance is properly plugged in. Then make sure the blade holder and bowl assembly is correctly fitted onto the motor unit in the LOCK position. If the problem persists, cut the food into smaller pieces.

Why is there a slight burning smell during first uses?

This is normal during first uses. The smell disappears after a few uses. If it persists, check that you are not running the appliance for more than 1 minute and that the food is not too hard.

The appliance turns off during use, what to do?

It is probably a motor overheating. Unplug the appliance and wait 30 minutes before plugging it back in. Reduce the quantities and respect the maximum operating time of 1 minute.

The blades do not turn, what is the cause?

This may be due to an incorrect assembly: check that the blade holder is properly fitted to the bowl and that the assembly is locked in the LOCK position on the motor unit. Food pieces that are too large can also block the blades; cut them into smaller pieces.

How to clean the blender?

Unplug the appliance. Wash the bowl, the blade holder and the lid with soapy water (you can also blend a little water with detergent for 15 seconds). Clean the motor unit with a damp cloth then dry it. Never immerse the motor unit or put it in the dishwasher.

Can you blend hot food?

No, the food temperature must not exceed 50 °C. Let hot food cool down for a few minutes before putting it in the bowl.

What is the maximum continuous use time?

The maximum operating time is 1 minute. Beyond that, take a break to cool the appliance to avoid motor overheating.

How to properly assemble the blender?

First place the food in the bowl. Fit the blade holder onto the bowl ensuring it is securely attached. Then place the assembly on the motor unit and turn clockwise to the LOCK position. The appliance only works when this position is reached.

What to do in case of bowl leakage?

Check that the assembly is correct: the blade holder must be properly fitted to the bowl, and the assembly must be locked in the LOCK position on the motor unit. If the leak persists, contact the FLAMA approved service center.

Is the warranty 36 months?

Yes, the warranty is 36 months from the date of purchase, subject to proof of purchase (invoice). It covers material and manufacturing defects, but not normal wear, consumable parts or damage due to misuse.

Please read these instructions carefully before using the appliance for the first time and keep them for future reference.

FLAMA shall not be liable for any use that is not in accordance with the instructions.

Please check that the supply voltage of your electrical system corresponds to the voltage on the appliance's rating plate.

This appliance may be used by persons with limited physical, sensory or mental, or by persons with lack of experience and knowledge on how to use it, if they are supervised or they have received instructions concerning the safe use of the appliance and understand the possible risks involved.

This appliance is not a toy. Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance.

This appliance must not be used by children. Keep the appliance and the cord out of the reach of children.

Please disconnect the appliance by removing the plug from the power socket after each use and when cleaning, if it is left unattended, and before assembly, disassembly or cleaning operations.

Cleaning and maintenance must be carried out as indicated in the cleaning and maintenance instructions.

Never place the mixing bowl inside the microwave.

Do not touch the moving parts of the appliance.

Never put your hand and/or any kitchen utensil inside the mixing bowl.

Blades are sharp and can cause damage. Proceed with caution and avoid direct contact with the cutting edge.

Pay particular attention when handling the blades, during assembly and disassembly operations, when emptying the mixing bowl, and while cleaning.

Always use the appliance with the measuring cup in place. Do not remove the measuring cup or lid before the blades have completely stopped moving.

Caution: do not place hot ingredients in the mixing bowl. Before preparing food, allow the food to cool down for a few minutes.

Be very careful when handling hot food as you can burn yourself.

The maximum filling capacity of the mixing bottle must not be exceeded (use the graduation marks on the bottle as a reference).

This appliance was designed to be used for a maximum of 2 minutes. When this limit is exceeded, take a cool-down break before using it again, so as not to overload the motor.

Do not use this appliance to mix glutinous food or substances, such as jam or marmalade.

Do not use the appliance if it is not working properly.

If the power cord is damaged, have it replaced at an Authorized Flama Technical Assistance Service in order to avoid a hazard.

Any intervention other than cleaning must be carried out only by authorized FLAMA agents.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

WARNING

Unplug the appliance when not in use and before any cleaning and maintenance operations.

Do not use aggressive or abrasive cleaning agents or solvents.

Never immerse the base motor, cable or plug in water or other liquids and do not place in the dishwasher.

The blades are very sharp. Handle them with caution.

Wash the blades, bottles and lids with water and a little detergent. You can also mix water with a little detergent and run the appliance with this mixture for 15 seconds.

Then wash the blade holder and bottle under running water and let dry before storing.

Clean the base motor with a damp cloth and then dry with a dry cloth.

OPERATING

Do not leave the device unattended when it is in use, so that you can intervene quickly in the event of danger.

DANGER - NEVER ATTACH THE BLADE HOLDER TO THE BASE MOTOR WITHOUT PROPERLY THREADING THE BOTTLE INTO THE BLADE HOLDER.

Before first use

Before using the product for the first time, clean the parts in contact with food as described in the CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE chapter.

Use

Place the base motor on a stable, clean and dry flat surface.

Make sure the base motor is disconnected from the power supply.

Completely unwind the cable before plugging it into the socket.

Place previously cut food in the bottle.

Note - the temperature of the food must not exceed 50^ C.

Screw the blade holder onto the bottle. Make sure the blade holder is securely screwed onto the bottle before placing it on the base motor.

Place the bottle on the motor base and turn it clockwise until it clicks into place in the LOCK position. The device does not work if the bottle with the blade holder is not placed correctly.

Connect the device to the mains current.

Turn the ON/OFF knob clockwise and keep it turned until the mixture reaches the desired consistency.

Release the ON/OFF button; the device stops.

NOTE - Keep the device in a vertical position until the desired result is achieved, without exceeding the maximum operating time (1 minute).

Unplug the appliance from the mains.

Detach the blade holder and bottle from the base motor by turning it counterclockwise to the unlocked position.

Unscrew the blade holder from the bottle. Be careful when handling the blade holder, they are sharp and can cause injury.

You can conserve the mixture by screwing the cap onto the bottle and using the opening for easy access to the contents.

ATTENTION – Do not start the appliance with an empty or overfilled bottle, as this could damage the motor.

ATTENTION: The operating time must never exceed 1 minute.

TROUBLESHOOTING

In case of malfunction, please take the appliance to an authorized Technical Assistance Service. Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the appliance, as this may be dangerous.

1. Keep the proof of purchase (receipt) for this product carefully. When a repair is made under these conditions, the technician will require proof of purchase. This assistance can only be provided once you have proven, with the proof of purchase, that your appliance is within the warranty period.
2. The warranty period for this appliance is defined by the respective EU Directive in force on the date of purchase/delivery.
3. Within the guarantee period, we will repair or replace, free of charge, any parts which, during the normal use of the appliance, have deteriorated as a result of a proven material or manufacturing defect.
4. This warranty does not cover consumable items, light bulbs, easily breakable parts made of glass or plastic, or any other defects that do not impair its proper functioning.
5. We accept no liability for damage caused by incorrect or careless use of the appliance, by its connection to an electrical current other than that indicated on the appliance's rating plate, by faulty electrical installation, or by atmospheric, chemical or electrochemical causes. Other claims or demands for compensation relating to objects which are not an integral part of the appliance will be denied.
6. The provision of assistance under warranty does not extend the warranty period. Only within this period will assistance be provided under warranty. The right to assistance is only granted to the first purchaser of the device and cannot be transferred to a third party.
7. The warranty expires when unauthorized persons have attempted to repair, modify or replace parts of the appliance.
8. All expenses and risks of transportation to our factory or vice versa will always be borne by the buyer.
