When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock and personal injury.
- Read all instructions.
- To protect against risk of electrical shock do not put the cord, plug, or motor base in water or other liquid.
- Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
- Unplug from the outlet when not in use, before putting or taking off parts and before cleaning.
- Avoid contacting moving parts.
- Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions, or has been dropped or damaged in any manner. Call our toll-free number for information on examination, repair, or electrical or mechanical adjustment.
- The use of attachments is not recommended.
- Do not use outdoors.
- Do not let the cord hang over the edge of the table or counter, or touch hot surfaces including the stove.
- Never leave appliance unattended when in use.
- Blades are sharp. Handle carefully.
- To reduce the risk of injury, never place cutter-assembly blades on base without bottle properly attached.
- Do not attempt to bypass the interlock system that powers the unit.
- Do not blend hot liquids in the blender.

- The attached motor cannot be used for other than its intended use.
- Do not use outdoors or for commercial purposes; this appliance is for household use only.
- Do not make contact with any moving parts.
- Do not use the appliance for anything other than its intended use.
- Always operate on a fl at surface.
- Never use carbonated beverages/liquids in the blender.
- NEVER PLACE THE BLADE ASSEMBLY ON THE BASE WITHOUT THE BOTTLE PROPERLY ATTACHED.
This appliance is intended for household use only. This appliance is equipped with a polarized plug. This type of plug has one blade wider than the other. The plug will fit into an electrical outlet only one way. This is a safety feature intended to help reduce the risk of electrical shock. If you are unable to insert the plug into the outlet, try reversing the plug. If the plug should still fail to fit, contact a qualified electrician to replace the obsolete outlet. Do not attempt to defeat the safety purpose of the polarized plug by modifying the plug in any way.
The length of the cord used on this appliance was selected to reduce the hazards of becoming tangled in, or tripping over a longer cord. Do not use an extension cord with this appliance.

FEATURES

USING YOUR BLENDER
Before first use, make sure that all features are included and not damaged. It is recommended that you clean your blender prior to first use.
- Place the motor base on a flat surface. Place the bottle on a flat surface open face up.
- Fill the bottle with ingredients. Be sure not to fill past the 600 ml line.
Note: All fruit or vegetables should be peeled, cored and cut in to manageable pieces prior to being placed in the bottle. For optimal performance, ensure that there is an appropriate liquid to solid ratio.
- Twist (clockwise) the blade assembly onto the open end of the bottle.
- Put the bottle with blade assembly attached into the motor unit, make sure the arrow on the motor unit is aligned with the blade assembly, then turn the assembly clockwise to lock it in place.
- Connect the plug to the wall outlet, the appliance will start operating.
Note: For best results, we recommend operating the unit for less than 3 minutes at a time.
- When you have blended your ingredients to a desired result, unplug the unit.
- Turn the bottle and blade assembly counter clockwise to unlock the unit.
- Place the bottle upright and carefully remove the blade assembly, by turning it counter clockwise.
- Place the drinking lid on the bottle.
CLEANING YOUR BLENDER
• Always disconnect the appliance from the power outlet before cleaning.
- All parts EXCEPT THE MOTOR BASE are dishwasher safe. To quickly clean the blade and bottle, without using the dishwasher, put a small amount of soap and warm water into the bottle. Twist the blade onto the bottle. Run the blender for a few seconds, disconnect the power. Remove the bottle and blade and rinse them under hot water. Dry the unit with a clean cloth.
- The blade assembly can also be cleaned using warm soapy water and a sponge. After carefully cleaning the blade with the sponge, rinse with hot water and dry.
- DO NOT PUT THE MOTOR BASE IN THE DISHWASHER OR SUBMERGE IT IN WATER. If the motor becomes dirty, simply wipe it clean with a damp cloth, making sure you do not get moisture in the motor.
- Do not use chemicals, steel wool or sharp objects to clean the unit, this can result in scratching the appliance or damaging the fi nish.
LIMITED APPLIANCE WARRANTY
This quality product is warranted to be free from manufacturer's defects in material and workmanship, provided that the unit is used under the normal operating conditions intended by the manufacturer.
This warranty is available only to the person to whom the unit was originally sold by Danby Products Limited (Canada) or Danby Products Inc. (U.S.A.) (hereafter "Danby") or by an authorized distributor of Danby, and is non-transferable.
TERMS OF WARRANTY
Plastic parts, are warranted for thirty (30) days only from purchase date, with no extensions provided.
First Year
During the first twelve (12) months, any functional parts of this product found to be defective, will be repaired or replaced, at warrantor's option, at no charge to the ORIGINAL purchaser.
To obtain service
It will be the consumer's responsibility to transport the appliance (at their own expense) to the original retailer (point of purchase) or a service depot for repair. Contact your dealer from whom your unit was purchased, or contact your nearest authorized Danby service depot, where service must be performed by a qualified service technician. If service is performed on the unit by anyone other than an authorized service depot, or the unit is used for commercial application, all obligations of Danby under this warranty shall be void.
Nothing within this warranty shall imply that Danby will be responsible or liable for any spoilage or damage to food or other contents of this appliance, whether due to any defect of the appliance, or its use, whether proper or improper.
EXCLUSIONS
Save as herein provided, by Danby, there are no other warranties, conditions, representations or guarantees, express or implied, made or intended by Danby or its authorized distributors and all other warranties, conditions, representations or guarantees, including any warranties, conditions, representations or guarantees under any Sale of Goods Act or like legislation or statute is hereby expressly excluded. Save as herein provided, Danby shall not be responsible for any damages to persons or property, including the unit itself, howsoever caused or any consequential damages arising from the malfunction of the unit and by the purchase of the unit, the purchaser does hereby agree to indemnify and hold harmless Danby from any claim for damages to persons or property caused by the unit.
GENERAL PROVISIONS
No warranty or insurance herein contained or set out shall apply when damage or repair is caused by any of the following:
1) Power failure.
2) Damage in transit or when moving the appliance.
3) Improper power supply such as low voltage, defective house wiring or inadequate fuses.
4) Accident, alteration, abuse or misuse of the appliance such as inadequate air circulation in the room or abnormal operating conditions (extremely high or low room temperature).
5) Use for commercial or industrial purposes (ie. If the appliance is not installed in a domestic residence).
6) Fire, water damage, theft, war, riot, hostility, acts of God such as hurricanes, floods etc.
7) Service calls resulting in customer education.
8) Improper Installation (ie. Building-in of a free standing appliance or using an appliance outdoors that is not approved for outdoor application).
Proof of purchase date will be required for warranty claims; so, please retain bill of sale. In the event warranty service is required, present this document to our AUTHORIZED SERVICE DEPOT.
