  • Put the jug onto the power base, plug into the wall socket and switch on. The pilot light will come on, indicating that the appliance is operating. If it does not come on, check if the kettle is correctly positioned on the base and check if the base is plugged in.
  • The jug kettle will switch off automatically when the water is boiling. However, you can stop the appliance any time by putting the switch in the off-position.
  • For instant reboiling, wait until the water has cooled down and switch on the appliance again.

  • This jug kettle is protected with an automatic safety device which switches the appliance off when it is accidentally switched on without water. Please bear in mind that only the thermostat is switched off in case of overheat, whereas the switch stays in ON-position.
  • In this case, unplug the appliance and wait about 10 minutes for the element to cool. Then pour in sufficient cold water to cover the element.
  • The kettle may then be used as normal.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

  • Before attempting any cleaning operation, make sure the appliance is unplugged from the supply socket and fully cooled down.
  • To clean the exterior surfaces, simply wipe over with a soft damp cloth and dry thoroughly. To remove scale from the inner walls of the kettle you can use a soft brush.
  • Never use abrasive products.
