How to connect the BOD400 pedal?

Connect your instrument to the IN input (6.35 mm jack) and connect the OUT output to your amplifier. Insert the plug to turn on the pedal. Use the footswitch to activate/deactivate the effect.

How to replace the battery?

Open the battery compartment located under the pedal. Replace the used battery with a 9 V battery type 6LR61, respecting polarity. Close the lid.

Can I use an external power supply?

Yes, use a 9 V DC power supply with center negative (2.1 mm). Plug it into the DC IN jack on the front of the pedal. The power supply is not included.

What to do if the LED does not turn on?

Check that the battery is installed correctly or that the external power supply is connected. If the LED remains off, the battery may be drained or the power supply faulty. Replace the battery or test another power supply.

How to set the sound for a mild overdrive?

Turn the GAIN control to a low level (between 8 and 10 o'clock). Adjust LEVEL to the desired volume. Use BAL to mix a little dry signal with the effect. The HIGH and LOW settings allow you to fine-tune the tone.

What is the difference between GAIN and LEVEL?

GAIN controls the amount of distortion (overdrive). The higher it is, the stronger the saturation. LEVEL adjusts the overall output volume without affecting distortion.

Does the pedal work with a guitar?

Yes, the BOD400 is designed for bass but also works with an electric guitar. However, the frequency adjustment is optimized for low frequencies.

How to clean the pedal?

Unplug the pedal and remove the battery. Clean the housing with a dry cloth. Do not use chemical or abrasive cleaners. Avoid moisture.

Is the warranty international?

Can I connect multiple pedals together?

Yes, you can chain multiple effects pedals. Connect the OUT output of the BOD400 to the input of the next pedal. Use good quality jack cables to minimize noise.

1. Controls

The LEVEL control adjusts the output level.
The HIGH control allows you to boost/cut the high-frequency range.
The LOW control allows you to boost/cut the low-frequency range.
Use the GAIN control to adjust the amount of overdrive.
5 With the BAL(ance) control you can adjust the amount of the dry direct signal and the effect signal.
The ON/BATT LED illuminates when the effect is activated. It also serves as a battery level indicator.
Use the footswitch to activate/deactivate the effect.
Use this 1 / 4 TS IN connector to plug in the instrument cable.
The 1 / 4 TS OUT connector sends the signal to your amp.

Use the DC IN connection at the front of the unit to plug in a 9 V power supply (not included).

The BATTERY COMPARTMENT is located on the bottom. Open the lid to install or replace the 9 V battery.

The BOD400 has no on/off switch. As soon as you insert the jack into the in connector, the BOD400 begins running. When not using the BOD400, remove the jack from the in connector. This extends the life of the battery.

The SERIAL NUMBER is located on the bottom.
