Safely keep the sales receipt of this product. When a repair is performed under these circumstances, the technician will ask for the respective receipt. The repair service can only be performed after you provide the receipt to confirm that your device is within the warranty period.

2. The warranty period for the device is valid for 2 years from the date of purchase.

3. We will repair or replace free of charge within the warranty period any parts that, during

normal operation of the device, have been damaged due to proven defect in the material or workmanship.

4. This warranty does not cover light bulbs, easily breakable parts made from glass or plastic

or any other defects that can harm the device’s normal operation.

5. We are not responsible for damages caused by the misuse or mishandling of the device,

connection to a power supply different than the one shown on the device specification label, defective electrical circuit and weather, chemical or electrochemical conditions. We will decline any other demands or compensation claims regarding objects that are not integral part of the device.

6. The repair service performed under the warranty does not extend the warranty period.

Only within this period can the repair services under the warranty be performed. The warranty is only valid for the first buyer of the device and is not transferable to others.

7. The warranty expires if any repairs, modifications or parts replacement have been

attempted by unauthorized persons.

8. All expenses and risks concerning transportation to our factory or vice-versa shall always

be on account of the buyer.

PROVISIONS OF WARRANTY

To obtain our Technical Repair service during the 24 month warranty period after the date of purchase, you are required to: - Present the product’s invoice/sales receipt, with the model and serial number (where possible). Note: Not presenting the above mentioned documents, will not allow for the repair service under the warranty.

SAFETY CONDITIONS - Before using the appliance for the first time, read this instruction manual carefully and retain for future reference. Operation non-conforming to the instructions, will exempt FLAMA from any responsibility. - As with any other appliance, its use by children should be properly supervised. - Check if the voltage on the power supply matches the appliance specification label. - This appliance was exclusively designed for home use. - Never connect this appliance to an external timer switch in order to avoid a hazardous situation. - This appliance should not be used by persons (including children) with limited physical, sensory, or mental capacities, or lack of experience, unless they have been given instructions in the use of the appliance by a person who is responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance. - Turn off the appliance after each use, if it has been left unattended and before assembly, disassembly or cleaning. - Never place the blender jar in the microwave. - Do not touch moving parts. - Never place hand and/or any other kitchenware inside the blender jar containing foods. - You should be extremely careful when handling the slicing blades, particularly

APPLIANCES WITH FITTED PLUG

Important: For your convenience, this appliance is supplied complete with a plug incorporating a 13-amp fuse. In the event of replacing a fuse in the plug supplied, a 13-amp fuse approved by ASTA to BS1362 must be used. If the socket outlets are not of the 13ABS 1363 type, and therefore do not accept the plug connected to this appliance, cut off the plug. When cut off, this plug is a shock hazard if inserted into a socket outlet and must therefore be disposed of safely. If the fuse cover is detachable, never use the plug with the cover omitted. Replacement covers can be obtained from your service agent. Fit the appropriate plug according to the instructions in paragraph “Fitting a plug”. With alternative plugs a 15-amp fuse must be fitted either in the plug or adaptor or at the main fuse box.

ENGLISH - Always use the appliance with its lid in place. Do not remove the mini-lid or lid before the blades come to a complete stop. - When blending hot liquids, remove the mini-lid. - This appliance was designed for a maximum use of 3 minutes, when this limit is exceeded, allow for a cooling period before using it again to prevent the engine from overloading. - The appliance must not be used if it’s not working properly. If it is in any way damaged, for example, on its power cord or plug, immediately take it to an authorized Flama Technical Repair Service. Any action apart from cleaning must be performed solely by authorized FLAMA Technical Repair Services. This product complies with Electromagnetic Compatibility and Low Voltage Directive. The wires in the mains lead are coloured in accordance with the following code:

GREEN & YELLOW : EARTH

BLUE : NEUTRAL BROWN : LIVE As the colours in the mains lead of the appliance may not correspond with the coloured markings identifying the terminals in your plug, proceed as follows: The wire which is coloured GREEN & YELLOW must be connected to the terminal in the plug which is marked with the letter “E” or by the earth symbol _ or coloured green or green and yellow. The wire which is coloured BLUE must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the letter “N” or coloured black. The wire which is coloured BROWN must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the letter “L” or coloured red.

- Before first use, wash all the parts except the Blender base under lukewarm water and then dry them with a dry cloth. - Never dip the Blender in water; this part must be cleaned with a dry cloth only. - Place the blender jar on the appliance base, fitting the jar notches into the base juts. - Place the ingredients into the blender jar, not exceeding the maximum limit of the blender jar (800 ml ) to prevent splashing. - Make sure that the blender jar is correctly positioned. - Place the lid and the mini-lid onto the blender jar, check that they are in the correct position and connect the appliance. - Choose the desired speed:

• Function «Pulse»: Intermittent function for a better control of your food preparation at the maximum speed. - As soon as the preparation is to your taste, turn the switch to the “0” setting to stop the appliance. Wait until the blade stops completely and then empty the jar. - The Blender has a safety system, which avoids the appliance to work, whenever the blender jar is not in its correct position. PRACTICAL HINTS - Use always fresh fruit and vegetables since they are juicier. - The more adequate ingredients for making juice are: pineapples, apples, carrots, melon, tomatoes, oranges and grapes. - The harder and gummier fruits, such as bananas, papayas, avocados, figs and mangos should not be processed in a blender, but in a centrifuge. - It is not necessary to peel the fruits (except those with thicker peel, such as oranges or pineapples). - The vegetable leaves and stems can also be processed in the bender. - The apple juice oxidises very quickly. If you add to it some drops of lemon juice you may delay the oxidation process. - Vegetable pulp may be used as a base for the preparation of soups, sauces and jams.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

For a quick cleaning: - Pour lukewarm water into the blender jar, position the switch to setting “1” during some seconds and then empty the jar.16 ENGLISH - Repeat a few times the procedure described in 1. and disconnect the appliance. For a more careful cleaning: - Prior to any cleaning operation, remove the plug from the wall socket. - Remove the lid, the blender jar and the blade support. - Rinse them right away after using them. You may use a brush to clean the blades. - Let them dry and reassemble the parts. Never dip the motor unit into water or any other liquid; use a smooth and damp cloth only. Do not use abrasive or degreasing products, alcohol ... The parts, which were in contact with the food, must be washed immediately after they are used. The blender jar, the lid and the mini-lid are machine-washable. ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION This symbol indicates the separate reclamation of electronic and electric equipment. The main purpose of the separate reclamation of these residues is to reduce the amount of residues to eliminate, to promote the reusage, the recycling and other forms of valuation, in order to reduce its negative effect on the environment. When this device is no longer it should not be discarded along with other non differentiated urban residues. The user is responsible for its gratuitous delivery at the existing reclamation installations created for this purpose. The collection of equipment no longer in use may also be performed by at the point of sale, while purchasing a new equivalent equipment with the same functions.
