How to change the battery of the Ardes AR2PP1 scale?

Open the battery compartment on the back of the scale. Gently press to release the battery. Insert the new CR2032 battery by first connecting one side to the positive (+) pole, then press the other side. Observe polarity.

How to convert the unit of measurement between kg and lbs?

Find the conversion button on the back of the scale. Press it when the scale is off. The LCD screen shows the current unit. Press again to change the unit.

What does the message 'C' on the screen mean?

The 'C' message appears if the weight was not recorded correctly. Step back on the scale and weigh yourself again, staying still until the measurement stabilizes.

What to do in case of scale overload?

If the overload indicator appears, it means the maximum capacity (approximately 150 kg) has been exceeded. Step off immediately to avoid damaging the scale.

How to clean the Ardes AR2PP1 scale?

Use a slightly damp cloth. Do not use abrasive products or chemical solvents. Never immerse the scale in water.

Can children use this scale?

Yes, from 8 years old, under adult supervision. Children should not play with the device. Cleaning and maintenance should not be done by children without supervision.

What type of battery does the AR2PP1 scale use?

This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.

Children shall not play with the appliance.

Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

The appliance has been designed and manufactured to operate in household environment as a personal scale. Any other use is considered inappropriate and therefore dangerous.

This appliance is not intended for commercial, industrial or trade applications.

The glass platform will be slippery when it is wet. Keep it dry!

WARNINGS ABOUT BATTERIES

1. KEEP BATTERIES OUT OF THE REACH OF CHILDREN. Swallowing can lead to chemical burns, perforation of soft tissue, and death. Severe burns can occur within 2 hours of ingestion. Seek medical attention immediately.

2. Do not allow children to replace batteries.

3. Always insert batteries correctly with regard to polarity (+ and -) marked on the battery and the equipment.

4. Do not short-circuit batteries.

6. Do not force discharge batteries.

8. Exhausted batteries should be immediately removed from equipment and properly disposed of.

17. Remove batteries from equipment if it is not to be used for an extended period of time unless it is for emergency purposes.

18. Clean the battery contacts and also those of the equipment prior to battery installation.

19. In case of leak from batteries, avoid any contact with it; in case of contact, wash the affected part with water and seek medical attention.

Please remove the isolation sheet from the battery contact before use.

TO REPLACE BATTERY

Open battery case cover on the back of scale, if battery case is the type shown in picture.

• Press battery gently, the battery will pop up automatically.
• Install new battery by connecting one side of battery to the positive plate (1) first, and then pressing down other side.
  Please observe polarity.

OPERATION

1. To make sure accuracy, place the scale on a hard, flat floor and avoid carpet or soft surface.

Remanrk: if the scale is one of our “slim” series, make sure to put it on hard surface such as marble, floor tile etc., and make sure no foreign bodies beneath the scale before weighing.

1. Gently step on the scale, then the scale will be automatically turned on.

Stand evenly on the scale without moving and wait until your weight shown on display is stable and locked.

AUTOMATIC SWITCH OFF

Auto shut-off occurs if display shows the same weight reading for approximate 8 seconds..

TO CONVERT WEIGHT UNIT

If the scale is with both measuring system of Metric (kilograms) and Imperial (pounds), you can convert weight unita s follow:

If the unit switch is on the back of the scale:

- Find unit switch on the back of the scale;

- Press the unit conversion button when scale is power off, LCD shows current weight unit. Press the button again to convert weight unit.

DISPLAY MESSAGES

OVERLOAD INDICATION

Scale overload (max weight capacity is indicated on the scale). Please step off to avoid damage.

LOW BATTERY INDICATION

Battery power is low. Please install new battery.

RE-TEST

Display "C" when you step off the scale, means this weight reading with error. Please re-test.

MAINTENANCE

This appliance does not require any special maintenance.

In order to clean the appliance, use a soft or slight damp cloth.

Never use abrasives or chemical solvents.

Do not use very wet substances, liquids or cloths to prevent water from entering into the apparatus and irreparably damaging it.

NEVER IMMERSE THE APPLIANCE INTO THE WATER.

This guarantee applies only if it has been duly filled in and is submitted with the receipt showing the date of purchase.

After the guarantee has expired, the appliance will be repaired against payment.
