Why does my Metabo HWW 400025 G pump not start?
First check the mains power supply (socket, cable, fuse). If the motor hums without starting, this may indicate a blockage or internal fault. Refer to section 9.1 of the manual.
How to bleed air from the pump?
Open the pressure tap, unscrew the filling screw (9), pour water until filled, retighten, then start. The pump is self-priming but the air will be expelled through the pressure line. See 6.7.
What is the tank precharge pressure and how to adjust it?
The precharge pressure is 1.5 bar. To adjust it, unplug the device, open the tap to drain water, remove the cap on the tank, use an air pump on the valve. See 9.4.
What to do if the pump stops and does not restart?
This may be due to motor overheating (thermal circuit breaker tripped). Let the device cool down. Also check that the ventilation slots are not blocked. See 9.1.
Can this pump be used for drinking water?
No, the pump is not suitable for drinking water or food products. It is designed for rainwater, watering or draining. See 2. Proper use.
How to protect the pump from frost?
If there is a risk of frost (< 4 °C), completely drain the pump and tank via the drain screw (5), dismantle the pipes, and store the device in a frost-free room (min. 5 °C). See 8.2 and 8.3.
Why does the pump lose pressure or not turn off anymore?
Check the tightness of the suction line (cracks, seals). The maximum suction height must not be exceeded. For HWW models, the pressure switch may need adjustment. See 9.3.
What is the maximum allowed water temperature?
The water temperature must not exceed 35 °C. Above this, the device may be damaged and become leaky. See 4.2.

How to adjust the pressure switch on the HWW 400025 G model?
Adjustment of the pressure switch is only possible on the HWW 3500/25 G. For other HWW models, contact Metabo after-sales service. Do not open the pressure switch yourself without qualification. See 8.4.
