1. Place your appliance on a flat and stable surface.

2. Remove any sticker, protective foil or storage cover on your appliance

3. Plug your appliance into a earth socket.

4. Before the firts use, always heat up the appliance to burn the protective fat and to eliminate

smells when you buy new appliances. Follow the below steps: a. Turn the thermostat button to maximum, let it heat up for 10 minutes b. Air the room during this operation c. Let the appliance cool down before starting to clean the appliance with a damp cloth; you can use a sponge humidified with a dishwashing liquid. NOTE: It is normal that strange odor comes out from the unit for the first use. This will cease after a short while. Using your appliance Unroll the power cord completely. Insert the plug with thermostat into the appliance (cf "Assembly" below), make sure the thermostat is on its minimum position and put the plug in an earthed power socket. Stand the appliance on a table or flat surface. Select the cooking temperature using the thermostat knob. The pilot light will come on, indicating that the appliance is heating. Preheat the grill to reach the ideal cooking temperature. When the appliance reaches the desired temperature, the pilot light will go out. Now put the food onto the grilling surface. The grilling times vary according to the nature of the food and to your personal taste. When grilling is finished switch off the grill and disconnect it. NOTE: Disconnect the power source cable before any operation of cleaning of maintenance and accessories assembly. Assembling :ENGLISH

Some tips: Frozen food should always be thawed before it is grilled. To grill meat, put the thermostat in its maximum position and preheat the grill. For other ingredients, choose the temperature accordingly. Never scratch the special non-stick coating. Use a wooden spatula or a heat resistant plastic spatula. Cleaning and maintenance At the end of your cooking, check you have turn off the thermostat dial. Unplug the appliance. Always let the appliance to cool down for at least one hour before starting any cleaning operation. Wash the grill plate with a sponge humidified with a neutral pH dishwashing liquid, rinse it under clear water and dry it with clean cloth. When cleaning, use a soft cloth (or sponge) and neutral cleaner on the surfaces of the plancha. Do not use a hard brush or any others cleaners to avoid scratching or damaging the plancha. Never put the plancha under the water. However, should there be water on the electric connection, wait until the appliance is completely dry before using it anew.
