Frequently Asked Questions - Gourmet 7 TB718MTM AEG

What to do if the blender does not start?
Check that the bowl is correctly installed on the base (handle to the right and locked). Make sure the plug is connected and the appliance is turned on by pressing the On/Off button. If the screen flashes, the motor has overheated: let it cool down for a few minutes. Refer to the Troubleshooting chapter of the manual.
How to quickly clean the blender?
Pour hot water and a few drops of cleaning product into the bowl. Press the Pulse button then speed 3 two or three times. Then rinse with running water. For a complete cleaning, place the bowl, lid, and measuring cap in the dishwasher. Never immerse the blender base.
Can I blend hot liquids?
Yes, but let liquids cool to a maximum temperature of 90 °C. Fill the bowl only halfway and start at low speed. Protect your hands from steam and the hot bowl. Never blend boiling liquids.
What is the maximum bowl capacity?
The maximum capacity is 1500 ml. Do not exceed the mark indicated on the bowl to avoid overflow.
How to use the Pulse function?
Press the Pulse button (N). The Pulse and speed buttons flash. Select a speed (1, 2, or 3) to blend briefly. Hold the button for precise control of the consistency. Release to stop.
Are the bowl and lid dishwasher safe?
Yes, all parts except the blender base can be cleaned in the dishwasher. Always rinse the bowl after each use before placing it in the dishwasher to prevent acids or essential oils from damaging the plastic.
What to do if the motor stalls?
Immediately turn off the blender, unplug it, and let it cool for at least 10 minutes. This may be due to ingredients that are too hard or too large. Cut fruits and vegetables into cubes of about 1 cm. Do not blend dough, mashed potatoes, or meat.
How to avoid overflow?
Do not exceed the maximum capacity of 1500 ml. For hot liquids, fill only halfway. Make sure the lid is closed tightly and the measuring cap is screwed on. Add ingredients through the filling opening gradually.
Can I use the multi-chopper for hard ingredients?
No, the multi-chopper is not recommended for hard-textured ingredients like carrots or celery. It is ideal for onions, shallots, garlic, coffee, etc. The maximum capacity is 400 ml and the blending time for dry ingredients should not exceed 30 seconds.
What automatic programs are available?
The blender offers four automatic programs: Smoothie, Crushed ice, Drink, and Soup. Select the desired program with the corresponding buttons (O, P, Q, R). The blender stops automatically at the end of the cycle.
