Read this manual carefully before running this appliance and save it for reference in order to obtain the best results and ensure safe use.

When using an electrical appliance, basic safety precautions should always be observed, including the following:

1. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children must never play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance must never be carried out by children without supervision.

2. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

3. Keep the appliance and the cable cord out of the reach of children less than 8 years old.
4. WARNING: In order to ensure your children's safety, please keep all packaging (plastic bags, boxes, polystyrene etc.) out of their reach.
5. If the supply cord is damaged it must be repaired by the Authorized Service Agent.
6. Never pull on the cord when unplugging.
7. Do not use the unit with a damaged cord or plug, or if it is not working properly.

8. Do not handle the appliance with wet hands.

9. Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid.

10. Make sure the appliance has been unplugged before cleaning.
11. This appliance must be installed following the national regulations for electrical installations.
12. This appliance is for household use only.

14. WARNING: In case of misuse, there is a risk of possible injury.

15. Check if the voltage indicated on the appliance corresponds to the local voltage before you connect the appliance.

16. Never block the air grilles.
17. If the appliance overheats, it will switch off automatically. Unplug the appliance and let it cool down for a few minutes. Before you switch the appliance on again, check the grilles to make sure they are not blocked by fluff, hair, etc.
18. Do not direct the airflow towards the eyes or other sensitive areas.

19. Do not use the hair dryer for purposes other than drying and styling human hair.

20. Do not pull the cord with unnecessary force. Do not wrap the cord around the unit. Check cord regularly for any sign of damage. Damaged cords can be dangerous.

21. Always switch the appliance off before putting it down, even if it is only for a moment.
22. Always unplug the appliance after use.
23. Let the appliances get cold before store it.
24. Do not introduce any metallic item in the airlet in order to avoid an electric discharge.
25. Do not put the air outcome too close the hair.
26. Do not use this appliance near water.
27. Do not use this appliance near bathtubs, showers, basins or other vessels containing water.
28. When the hairdryer is used in a bathroom, unplug it after use since the proximity of water presents a hazard even when the hairdryer is switched off.
29. For additional protection, the installation of a residual current device (RCD) having a rated residual operating current not exceeding 30mA is advisable in the electrical circuit supplying the bathroom. Ask your installer for advice.

USE OF HAIR STRAIGHTENER

IMPORTANT: THIS PRODUCT REACHES HIGH TEMPERATURES

• Plug into a suitable mains supply when the straightener is ready for use

• There is no need to preheat the straightener. Always place straightener on a solid, flat, heat resistant surface. Do not place straightener on any soft or uneven surfaces such as carpets, bedding or rugs and never cover. Turn the power switch to ON, the indicator light will turn on. The plates reach a high temperature quickly.

• Add heat protection spray throughout hair for protection, shine and a long lasting style.

Separate a section of hair approximately 5cm in width and smooth it out with a brush.

• Place the chosen section of hair between the plates of the straightener and close the plates. Take care not to touch the very hot plates.

• Hold the straightener in place until the hair is fully heated this will be almost instant. When holding the straightener always ensure fingertips are placed away from the hot plates.

Once the hair is heated, holding the hair taut, carefully slide the plates along the selected section of hair, in one smooth movement all the way down to the ends.

• Keep the strands of hair smooth whilst you work to avoid ridges.

TRICKS

• For best results the hair should be completely dry.
• Grasp the locks gently while working to prevent hair from roasting underneath.
• As it happens with all hair straightener that reach high temperatures, they should not be used too often and thus avoid damaging the hair.

HAIR STRAIGHTENER CLEANING

Remove the attachments from the appliance before cleaning them. Make sure the attachments are dry before using or storing them.

Never rinse the appliance with water.

Unplug the hair straightener and allow it to cool down. Use a soft slightly damp cloth to wipe appliance surfaces. Do not allow water or any other liquid to get into the unit.

STORAGE

When not in use "unplug it."

Unplug the hair straightener, allow it to cool, add store in its box or in a dry place. Never store it while it is hot or still plugged in. Never wrap the cord tightly around the appliance. Never hang unit by the cord .Store the cord loosely coiled do not put any stress on the cord where it enters the unit, as it could cause the cord to fray and break.

Disposal of old electrical appliances.

The crossed out "wheeled bin" symbol on the product reminds you of your obligation, that when you dispose of the appliance, it must be separately collected.

Consumers should contact their local authority or retailer for information concerning the correct disposal of their old appliance.
