How to power the Behringer Super Fuzz SF300?

You can use a 9 V battery (not included) or a 9 V DC power adapter (center negative, not included). The device powers on as soon as a jack is inserted into the IN input.

What are the three modes of the SF300?

The MODE selector offers: FUZZ 1 (classic fuzz with pronounced mids), FUZZ 2 (massive fuzz with scooped mids) and BOOST (pure boost, where the GAIN potentiometer controls volume).

How to adjust the fuzz sound with the SF300?

Use TREBLE for treble, BASS for bass and GAIN for distortion intensity. In BOOST mode, GAIN adjusts the output level.

What does the ON/BATT LED mean?

The LED lights up when the effect is engaged. If it turns off or dims, the battery is nearly depleted and should be replaced.

How to replace the battery of the SF300?

Press the hinge pins with a ballpoint pen, gently remove the pedal cover, then replace the 9 V battery observing polarity.

Why doesn't my SF300 turn off?

The pedal has no switch. It is active as soon as a jack is plugged into the IN input. Unplug the jack to cut power and save the battery.

Can I use the SF300 with a bass?

Yes, but the fuzz may distort the low end. Test the BASS and GAIN settings to adapt the sound to your bass.

How to clean my SF300 pedal?

Unplug it, then clean the housing with a dry, soft cloth. Never use liquid or abrasive cleaner.

Does the SF300 work with a pedalboard/amp setup?

Yes, it is designed to be connected between the guitar and the amp (or any other effect). The OUT output connects to the amp input.

Where to find the serial number of the SF300?

The serial number is printed on the base (bottom) of the pedal. Keep it for any warranty claims.

Thank you for showing your confidence in us by purchasing the Behringer SUPER FUZZ SF300. This effects pedal is ideally suited for electric guitars and recreates the whole variety of famous fuzz tones of the '60s and '70s.

1. Controls

The LEVEL control adjusts the output level.
2 The TREBLE control allows you to boost/cut the high-frequency range.
3 The BASS control allows you to boost/cut the low-frequency range.
4 The GAIN control adjusts the gain for more distorted sounds.
5 The MODE switch lets you choose between 3 effect modes.

FUZZ 1: Basic fuzz sound with emphasis on the midrange.

FUZZ 2: Full-bodied fuzz sound with scooped mids and sharp harmonics.

BOOST: The Level control is inactive and the Gain control adjusts the boost.

6 The ON/BATT LED illuminates when the effect is activated. It also serves as a battery level indicator.
⑦ Use the footswitch to activate/deactivate the effect.
8 Use this 14 " TS IN connector to plug in the instrument cable.
9 The 1/4" TS OUT connector sends the signal to your amp.

Use the DC IN connection to plug in a 9 V power supply (not included).

The BATTERY COMPARTMENT is located underneath the pedal cover. To install or replace the 9 V battery (not included), press the hinges with a ballpoint pen and remove the pedal cover. Be careful not to scratch the unit.

The SF300 has no on/off switch. As soon as you insert the plug into the in connector, the SF300 is on. When not in use, remove the plug from the in connector. This extends the life of the battery.

The SERIAL NUMBER is located at the underside.

Do not use near water, or install near heat sources. Use only authorized attachments/accessories. Do not service product yourself. Contact our qualified servicing personnel for servicing or repairs, especially when power supply cord or plug is damaged.
