ep100/ep200 IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS Please read these instrucons carefully before using the appliance. Important: People (including children) who are not able to use the appliance in a safe way, due to their physical, sensorial or mental capacity or their lack of experience or knowledge, must never use the appliance except if they are supervised by a person responsible for their safety or if they previously received instrucons concerning the safe use of the appliance. Close supervision is necessary to prevent children from using the appliance as a toy. Check that your mains voltage corresponds to that stated on the appliance. Never leave the appliance unsupervised when in use. From me to me check the appliance and its cord for damages. Never use the appliance if cord or appliance shows any signs of damage. All repairs should be made by a competent qualied electrician(*). Only use the appliance for domesc purposes and in the way indicated in these instrucons. Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid for any reason whatso- ever. Never place it into the dishwasher. Never use the appliance near hot surfaces. Before cleaning, always unplug the appliance from the power supply. Never use the appliance outside and always place it in a dry environment. Never use accessories which are not recommended by the producer. They could constute a danger to the user and risk to damage the appliance. Never move the appliance by pulling the cord. Make sure the cord cannot get caught in any way. Do not wind the cord around the appliance and do not bend it. Stand the appliance on a table or at surface. Make sure the appliance has cooled down before cleaning and storing it. Make sure the cord never comes into contact with the hot parts of the appliance. The temperature of the accessible surfaces may be very high when the appliance is in use. Never touch those surfaces during use, and only handle the buons. Should the symbol be indicated on a certain surface, you need to be careful when handling the product. This symbol means CAUTION, this surface may get very hot during use. Make sure the appliance never comes into contact with inammable materials, EN4 ep100 / ep200 such as curtains, cloth, etc… when it is in use, as a re might occur. Always unplug the appliance when it is not in use, especially since it is not equipped with an on/o switch. Be extremely careful, as oil or fat preparaons might catch re when overheated. When using the appliance under an extractor hood, make sure to observe the minimal distance advised by the producer. It is even wiser to double this distance. Only use the appliance for food that is supposed to be cooked. Your appliance must never be switched on through an external mer or any kind of sepa- rate remote control system. Immediately unplug the appliance if a crack appears and make sure it is controlled by a qualied competent electrician
Competent qualied electrician: aer sales department of the producer or importer or any person who is qualied, approved and competent to perform this kind of repairs in order to avoid all danger. In any case you should return the appliance to this electrician. USE
- First check that the voltage marked on the product is the same as your supply voltage.
- Select a suitable posion close to an electric socket, on a dry and even surface.
- Make sure the controls are in the OFF posion (MIN facing upwards). Plug in.
- The invisible protecve coang must be removed before you can use the appliance. To do this, set the controls to the maximum seng and leave switched on for approxi- mately 10 minutes. Smoke will develop, make sure that the room is venlated. Switch o the cooking plates and allow to cool down completely. The cooking plates are now ready for use.
- Always use at-boomed saucepans, which make good contact with the cooking plates. The saucepan bases should ideally be of the same size as the cooking plates.
- Select the temperature. The cooking plates have a range of temperatures.
- Due to the cooking plates’ construcon, residual heat will remain aer switching o. This may be used to keep food warm for a short period.
- Aer use, turn temperature dial to “MIN” and unplug the appliance from electrical outlet. EN5 ep100/ep200 CLEANING
- Before cleaning, unplug and wait for the appliance to cool down.
- Wipe with a moistened cloth.
- Do not clean with any abrasive scouring pad or steel wool, as this will damage the n- ish.
- Do not immerse in water or any other liquid.

For this reason, as indicated by the symbol on the rat- ing label, your appliance should not be disposed of as unsorted municipal waste but should either be returned to the vendor, or disposed of in a separate collecon point performing waste recovery by means of reuse, recycling or use for other applicaons.
