How to prepare the skillet before first use?
Remove the selector, wash the skillet and lid with hot soapy water, dry thoroughly. Coat the inside with a thin layer of cooking oil and wipe off the excess. Do not use non-stick cooking spray.
Can I use metal utensils?
It is preferable to use plastic, rubber, wood or non-stick utensils to avoid scratching the coating. If you use metal, be careful not to scratch the surface.

Bring the food to a boil by setting the selector to about 177 °C (350 °F). Once the liquid boils, slowly turn the dial to a lower temperature until the indicator light turns off. Cover and simmer.
Can the lid go in the dishwasher?
Yes, the lid is dishwasher safe, but top rack only. The lid may discolor over time, which is normal.
How to clean the skillet?
Unplug the appliance, remove the selector and let it cool. You can wash the skillet and lid by hand or in the dishwasher. Use a sponge or nylon pad with liquid detergent. Do not use abrasive cleaners or metal scouring pads.
What if the indicator light does not turn on?

Pull the leg down so it tucks under the handle. This lifts one side of the skillet to drain oil or juices. Do not pull too hard to avoid breaking the leg.
Is the temperature selector interchangeable with other models?
Use only the selector provided with the skillet. Other thermostats may fit but will not provide proper performance.
