built in pump has a capacity of 2000 litres per hour and it keeps over 20 m of pond surface dust- free and crystal clear. PARTS The Pond Skimmer is composed of the following parts (see illustration): A) Floating ring B) Waste receiver C) Foam pattern D) Float E) Pump support F) Pond pump with 10 metres of cable G) Pump housing H) Rubber ring for the cable bushing INSTALLATION The Pond Skimmer is supplied by Velda completely mounted so that it is ready for use. Place the Pond Skimmer in the place wanted in the pond and connect the cable with a fixed power source. Now the pump will operate and through the floating ring the surface water and the dirt along with it will be drained off. When with the lapse of time the draining effect should decrease, the waste re- ceiver and the foam pattern should be rinsed. Owing to the outflowing water of the built in pump, the Pond Skimmer will find its own way on the water surface of the pond. The length of the cable (10 m) and any obstacles on the water surface will decide where the Pond Skimmer will go. If you want to fix the Pond Skimmer, however, in a certain place, you can weight the cable in the place you want on the pond bottom, as a result of which the freedom of movement of the Pond Skimmer will be restricted. MAINTENANCE Every now and then also the rotor of the built in pump will have to be cleaned. If you have a proper look at the construction when demounting it, assembly will not cause any problem. Please take care that the rubber ring for the cable bushing will be correctly mounted again. Remove the plug from the receptacle and remove the Pond Skimmer from the pond. When demounting proceed as follows (see illustration):

1. Remove the floating ring and the green waste receiver.

2. Now carefully loosen the pump housing from the pump support by pressing the click con-

3. Unscrew the pond pump from the pump housing.

4. Clean the pump and the bushing in the pump housing with the help of a small brush.

10 metres of safety cable 3 x 0,75 mm² CE certified GUARANTEE Except for the shaft and the rotor of the pond pump, this Pond Skimmer is guaranteed by Velda for a period of 24 months. In case of wrong assembly, injudicious use or bad maintenance, the gua- rantee will cease. This also applies if plug and cable should be damaged.
