Power Source—The unit should be con-nected to power supply only of the typedescribed in the operating instructions oras marked on the unit.2. Polarization—If the unit is equipped witha polarized AC power plug (a plug havingone blade wider than the other), that plugwill fit into the AC outlet only one way.This is a safety feature. If you are unableto insert the plug fully into the outlet, tryreversing the plug. If the plug should stillfail to fit, contact your electrician to re-place your obsolete outlet. Do not defeatthe safety purpose of the polarized plug.3. Care of AC adaptor—Take care that thecord of the AC adaptor should be routedso that they are not likely to be walked onor pinched by items placed upon oragainst them. Never take hold of the ACadaptor if your hand is wet, and alwaysgrasp the plug body when connecting ordisconnecting it.4. Nonuse Periods—When not in use, besure to disconnect the AC adaptor fromthe AC power outlet.Installation» Environment1. Water and Moisture—Do not use thisunit near water—for example, near abathtub, washbowl, swimming pool, or thelike. Damp basements should also beavoided.2. Heat—Never use or place this unit near aheat source. Do not leave it in an automo-bile exposed to direct sunlight for a longtime with the doors and windows closedas this may deform the cabinet.» Placement1. Foreign Material—Care should be takenso that objects do not fall into and liquidsare not spilled into the unit. Do not subjectthis unit to excessive smoke, dust, me-chanical vibration, or shock.2. Magnetism—The unit should be situatedaway from equipment or devices that gen-erate strong magnetic fields.3. Conserving power The AC adaptor consumes 3.5 W when the unit is turned off with[POWER]. To save power when the unit is not to be used for a longtime, unplug the AC adaptor from the household AC outlet. To use LINE IN 1 and LINE IN 2 at the same time Use the included cord and a second cord (not included).The sound is mixed if you use LINE IN 1 and LINE IN 2 at the sametime. If the output terminal on the other equipment is a 3.5 mm (1/8 in.) stereo jack LINE IN 1: Use the included cord (3.5 mm stereo plug – 3.5mm stereo plug)LINE IN 2: Purchase a second connection cord (3.5 mm ste-reo plug – 3.5 mm stereo plug) if you intend to useboth at the same time. Panasonic Canada Inc. warrants this product to be free from defects in material and workmanship and agrees to repair or, at its option, replace the product for a period of 90 days from the date of original purchase. This warranty does not apply to products purchased outside the boundaries of Canada or to any product which has been improperly installed, subjected to usage for which the product was not designed, misuse or abuse, shipping damage, or which has been altered or repaired in any way that affects the reliability or detracts from the performance, nor does it cover any product which is used commercially.
