HOW TO USE AND STORE AQUASENSE™ AND PUREADVANTAGE™

High Quality and Excellent Performance

To ensure high quality, excellent filtration performance and great tasting water from AquaSense™ and PUREADVANTAGE™ filter, please follow the instructions.

1. How to get started with your AquaSense™ and PUREADVANTAGE™ filter

  • Remove Life Time Indicator before cleaning the jug.
    • Clean all parts of the jug in the dishwasher or by hand.
  • After cleaning put back the Life Time Indicator and activate it (see Life Time Indicator section).
    • Wash your hands carefully

- Open the filter packaging and place the PUREADVANTAGE™ filter in the hopper.

- Push the filter downwards until it fits firmly and is placed in line with the bottom of the hopper.

- Before using the AquaSense™ jug you need to activate the PUREADVANTAGE™ filter in the following way

o Place the jug under the tap and filter 2 litres of water.

o Discard the filtered water before start using the jug.

2. Filling the AquaSense™ Jug

- Place the jug under the tap with the opening positioned directly under the tap water outlet.

- Hold the jug under the tap and turn the water on. The pressure of the tap water will open the pour through filling lid and start filling the hopper.

3. AquaSense™ Capacity

• Large Jug: 1.6 liters filtered water capacity (2.3 liters total capacity)

• Small Jug: 1.2 liters filtered water capacity (1.6 liters total capacity)

4. Lifetime for the PUREADVANTAGE™ filter

- The PUREADVANTAGE™ filter achieves a filter capacity of approximately 150 liter of tap water.

• We recommend changing the PUREADVANTAGE™ filter after 30 days to keep optimized performance.

• To change the filter; pull the ring on the PUREADVANTAGE™ filter.

5. Store the PUREADVANTAGE™ filter

Store the sealed PUREADVANTAGE™ filter in a cold and dry place in no direct sun light sealed in the plastic packaging to keep the optimized performance of your filter.

6. Care of AquaSense™ and the PUREADVANTAGE™ filter

• Discard the water if it's not is used for two days.

• We recommend to store your water filter in a cool place and remember that water is a foodstuff. Please consume filtered water within one to two days.

- The AquaSense™ Jug (excluding the Life Time Indicator) is dish washer safe.

- Before cleaning your AquaSense™ Jug in the dish washer, take out the Life Time Indicator.

7. Life Time Indicator

The Life Time Indicator reminds you when it is time to change the PUREADVANTAGE™ filter. Each dot refers to a lifetime of about one week. The recommended PUREADVANTAGE™ filter lifetime of four weeks (30 days) equals four dots (100%). After each week one circle will disappear to show the remaining filter life time.

This is how the Life Time Indicator works:

  1. Push the STATUS button to activate the display.
  2. To see the status of the PUREADVANTAGE™ filter anytime; press the button 0.5-2 seconds. For example; when four lights are visible the filter is 100% full with four weeks of usage left.
  3. To reset the timing press the button 3 seconds or more.
  4. Change the PUREADVANTAGE™ filter when all the lights are blinking.

IMPORTANT NOTES

Ideal Conditions for usage of AquaSense™ and PUREADVANTAGE™ filter

  • AquaSense™ and PUREADVANTAGE™ filter are designed for use only with municipally treated tap water or with water from private supplies which has been tested as safe to drink.
  • Use cold tap water only (water temperature between 4 and 38 Celsius degrees).
  • Always discard the first two litres of water with the new PUREADVANTAGE™ filter.
  • The PUREADVANTAGE™ filter technology can reduce the temporary hardness of tap water. Therefore people with heart disease and those who must follow a controlled diet are recommended to ask their doctor before using the PUREADVANTAGE™ water filter.

Hygiene

  • Before replacing the PUREADVANTAGE™ filter wash your hands carefully.
  • Change the PUREADVANTAGE™ filter if not used for a prolonged time (e.g. holiday), or if left outside fridge for more than 24 hours.
  • For people with impaired immunity and babies, it is generally recommended that tap water should be boiled; this also applies to PUREADVANTAGE™ filtered water.
  • For hygiene reasons, the PUREADVANTAGE™ filter contents are subject to special treatment with silver. A very small amount may be transferred to the water. This transference would be within the World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines as well as within the Directive 98/83/EG of the EU for drinking water quality.
