1 safety instructions
- Please read the instructions carefully and completely before operating this appliance and retain for future use.
- The appliance is intended solely for domestic use within the home.
- Always use batteries which corresponds with the voltage printed on the bottom of the appliance.
- Caution! Do not stand on the outer edge to one side of the scale otherwise it may tip!
- An electrical appliance is not a toy and should therefore always be placed outside of the reach of children. Children are not always able to understand potential risks. Teach children a responsible handling of electrical appliances.
- Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
- This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
- If possible, always weigh yourself at the same time of day (preferably in the morning), after using the toilet, on an empty stomach and unclothed, in order to achieve comparable results.
- Stand on the scale without moving and with equal weight distribution on both feet!
- Do not stand on the scale with wet feet and do not step on the scale when its surface is wet - danger of slipping!
- Minor deviations are normal. When you drink 1 glass of water for example a difference of 300 grams can occur.
- Protect the scale against hard knocks, moisture, dust, chemicals, major temperature fluctuations and heat sources which are too close (stove, heating radiators).
- Always ensure that the scale is placed on a flat, stable surface and only use it indoors.
- If you decide never to use the appliance again, we advise you to dispose of it in special containers or at a municipal waste collection point.
- Never immerse the scale in water or other liquids.
- The scale can accept a maximum load of 180kg (397 lb, 28St: 5lb). The

weight measurement is displayed in increments of 100g (1lb, 0.2lb).
- When you want to store the scale for a longer period, we advise to keep it in the original carton.
- Repairs may only be carried out by Inventum customer service or authorized dealers. Before submitting any complaint, first check the batteries and replace them if necessary.
- If a battery has leaked, put on protective gloves and clean the battery compartment with a dry cloth.
- The device is only for private use and is not intended for medical or commercial purposes.
- Please note that technically related measuring tolerances are possible, as the scale is not calibrated for professional medical applications.
- If the appliance is used for other purposes than intended, or is it not handled in accordance with the instruction manual, the full responsibility for any consequences will rest with the user. Any damages to the product or other things are not covered by the warranty.
- Legislation requires that all electrical and electronic equipment must be collected for reuse and recycling. Electrical and electronic equipment marked with the symbol indicating separate collection of such equipment must be returned to a municipal waste collection point.

3 weighing correctly
Weight problems, particularly predominance, can cause or accelerate diseases. Therefore regular checks are advisable. The body weight depends on fixed and influenceable factors. To the first belong age, sex as well as hereditary-conditioned influences. To the influenceable factors belong the kind and quantity of the nourishment, physical and physiological activity, as well as the process and the treatment of illness-related processes. Of special importance is the temporal change of your body weight. In order to seize this, you should weigh regularly. The maximum capacity of the scale is max. 180 kg (28 St: 5lb/397 lb). During the weight measurement the results are indicated in 100 g steps (0,2 lb/1 lb).
4 before first use
Before you use the appliance for the first time, please do as follows: Carefully unpack the appliance and remove all the packaging material. Keep the material (plastic bags and cardboard) out of reach of children. Check the appliance after unpacking for any damage, possible from transportation.
Before the first use the scale must be calibrated. This must be done every time you use the scale on a different spot or when the batterie is replaced.
Place the scale on a flat and stable surface. With your foot press on the middle of the glass surface. The full display will show and when it shows "0.0" the scale is ready for use.

Press the UNIT button on the back of the scale to select the correct measuring unit (kg / st / lb)

Place the scale on a flat and stable surface and wait for the scale to turn itself off.
6 weighing

Stand directly on the scale to weigh yourself. As soon as the result blinks and then stops blinking the measurement is done. The scale will turn itself off after about 10 seconds.
Important: always use the scale on a flat and stable surface, never on a rug or carpet.
The maximum weighing capacity of the scale is 180kg . When the maximum is exceeded the display will show Err.

The minimum weighing capacity of the scale is 5kg
7 battery
When Lo appears in the display, the batteriy is almost empty.

Remove the lid of the battery compartment from the back of the scale and place a new battery -1x CR2032 - 3 Volt. If necessary please use a small screwdriver to remove the battery. Check the polarities of the battery before placing.
Batteries can contain toxins that are harmful to health and the environment. The used, completely drained standard and rechargeable batteries must be disposed of in specially marked collection containers, at toxic waste collection points or electrical product retailers. You are legally obligated to dispose of the batteries.
Note: Batteries containing pollutants are marked with the following symbols: Pb = Battery contains lead, Cd = Battery contains cadmium, Hg = Battery containers mercury.
8 cleaning & maintenance
The scale should be cleaned occasionally. Dirt and dust has a tendency to collect on the rubber electrodes. Use a damp cloth to clean the scale. Do not use abrasive detergents and never immerse the scale in water.
- Do not use aggressive solvents or cleaning agents!
- Never immerse the scale in water or any other liquids.
- Handle the scale with care, protect the scale from impact with hard object and do not drop it.

general terms and conditions of service and warranty
We do not need to remind you of the importance of service. After all, we develop our products to a standard so that you can enjoy them for many years, without any concerns. If, nevertheless, there is a problem, we believe you are entitled to a solution straight away. Hence our products come with an exchange service, on top of the rights and claims you are entitled to by law. By exchanging a product or part, we save you time, effort and costs.
2-year full manufacturer's warranty
- Customers enjoy a 2-year full manufacturer's warranty on all Inventum products. Within this period, a faulty product or part will always be exchanged for a new model, free of charge. In order to claim under the 2-year full manufacturer's warranty, you can either return the product to the shop you bought it from or contact the Inventum costumer service department via the form at www.inventum.eu/service-aanvraag.
- The 2-year warranty period starts from the date the product is bought.
- In order to claim under the warranty, you must produce a copy of the original receipt.
- The warranty applies only to normal domestic use of Inventum products within the Netherlands.
Breakdowns or faults outside the warranty period
- Breakdowns or faults in small or large domestic appliances outside the warranty period, can be reported to the costumer services department via the form at www.inventum.eu/service-aanvraag or by calling the costumer services department.
- The costumer services department may ask you to send the product for inspection or repair. The costs of dispatch will be at your expense.
- The inspection to establish whether repair is possible involves a charge. You need to grant your permission for this, in advance.
- In the event of a large domestic appliance, Inventum, at your request, can send out a service engineer. In that case, you will be charged the call-out costs, as well as parts and labour.
- In the event of an instruction to repair, the repair costs must be paid in advance. In the event of a repair by a service engineer, the costs of the repair must be settled with the engineer onsite, preferably by means of PIN payment.
Warranty exclusions
- The following is excluded from the aforesaid warranties:
normal wear and tear;
- improper use or misuse;
insufficient maintenance;
- failure to comply with the operating and maintenance instructions;
- unprofessional installation or repairs by third parties or the customer himself;
non-original parts used by the customer;
- use for commercial or business purposes;
- removal of the serial number and/or rating label.

In addition, the warranty does not apply to normal consumer goods, such as:
-
dough hooks, baking tins, (carbon) filters, etc.;
- batteries, bulbs, carbon filters, fat filters etc.;
external connection cables; -
glass accessories and glass parts such as oven doors;
and similar items. -
Transport damage not caused by Inventum is also excluded. Therefore, inspect your new device before starting to use it. If you detect any damage, you must report this to the store where you purchased the product within 5 working days, or to the Inventum customer service department via the form at www.inventum.eu/service-aanvraag. If transport damage is not reported within this period, Inventum does not accept any liability in this respect.
- The following are excluded from warranty and/or replacement: faults, loss of and damage to the device as a result of an event that is normally insured under the home contents insurance.
Important to know
- The replacement or repair of a faulty product, or a part thereof, does not lead to an extension of the original warranty period.
- If a complaint is unfounded, all costs arising from it will be at the customer's expense.
- Following expiry of the warranty period, all costs of repair or replacement, including administration costs, dispatch and call-out charges, will be charged to the customer.
- Inventum cannot be held liable for damage caused by external events, unless this liability arises from mandatory statutory provisions.
- These warranty and service provisions are governed by Dutch law. Disputes will be settled exclusively by the competent Dutch court.
