These Operating Instructions aim to ensure that you can use the appliance safely and to the optimum.
Please read these Operating Instructions carefully before using the appliance.
Please keep these Operating Instructions as long as you have the appliance. If you pass the appliance on to somebody else, please also pass on the Operating Instructions.
Liability
We will not assume any liability for damage caused due to non-observation of the Operating Instructions. If the appliance is used for other purposes, improperly or incorrectly serviced or repaired, no liability can be assumed for any ensuing damage.

Safety
CE-declaration of conformity
This appliance satisfies the requirements of the Machinery and Product Liability Act (GPSG) and the EU Directives 2004/108/EG "Electromagnetic Compatibility" and 2006/95/EU "Low-voltage Directive".
The appliance bears the CE symbol on the type plate..
Proper use
The appliance may only be used in private homes and auxiliary rooms to vacuum clean dry dust material.
It may only be used to clean hard flooring and textile flooring, carpets, upholstered furniture, mattresses, furniture, radiators and curtains.
Check that all filters are correctly in place before using the appliance. The appliance may not be used without filters. Only original Fakir filters and Fakir accessories may be used.
If the appliance is used for any other purpose, this is deemed improper use and is forbidden.
Improper use
The cases of improper use listed here can lead to malfunctions, damage to the appliance or injury::
- This appliance is not intended to be used by persons (including children) with limited physical sensory or mental abilities, or with a lack of experience or know-how, unless they are supervised by somebody responsible for their safety or unless they receive instructions in how to use the appliance.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. Electrical appliances are not toys! Therefore the appliance should always be kept and used out of the reach of children. Children do not recognise the risk involved when using electrical appliances. Do not leave the power cable hanging out. - Keep the packaging foil away from children - there is a risk of suffocation!

WARNING!
Risk of injury caused by suction power:
- Never suction in articles of clothing, hair, eyes, fingers or other parts of the body.
- Nozzles and pipe ends may never be allowed to come close to eyes and ears.
- Humans or animals may never be vacuum-cleaned with the appliance. The manufacturer will not be liable for any damage caused by improper use or wrong operation.
- Risk of injury! When working with the turbo brush, do not place fingers into the rotating brush element.
Health risk!
- Never suction off hazardous materials such as e.g. toner for laser printers or copiers.
Risk of fire and explosion!
- Never suction up glowing ashes or burning objects such as e.g. cigarettes or matches.
- Never use the appliance near explosive or easily combustible substances.
- Never suction off solvents, explosive gases or liquids.

CAUTION!
- Risk of short-circuits! Never suction up water or other liquids such as e.g. damp carpet cleaning agents.
- Destruction of the filter! Never suction up sharp objects such as splinters of glass, nails, etc. Setting substances, such as plaster or cement, can also destroy the filters.
- Damage to the appliance caused by rain and dirt! Never use or store the appliance outdoors.
- Risk of overheating! Always keep the openings on the appliance free.
Safety
Electrical power

CAUTION!
- If the wrong voltage is used, the appliance may be destroyed. Only operate the appliance if the voltage stated on the type plate corresponds to the voltage in your home.
- The power socket must be secured by means of an automatic 16 A-fuse.
- Only use extension cables that have been designed for the power draw of the appliance.

WARNING! Risk of electrical shock!
- Never touch the plug with wet hands.
- Never pull the plug out of the socket by tugging on the cable, always pull directly on the plug.
- The mains cable may not be bent, trapped, pulled over sharp edges or driven over and may not be allowed to come into contact with heat sources.
- If the mains cable of this appliance becomes damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or his customer service or a similarly qualified person to avoid injury.
- Do not use the appliance if the housing is visibly damaged, if a defect is suspected (e.g. after a fall) or if the mains cable is defective.
- Never use damaged extension cables.
In the event of danger
In the event of danger or accidents, disconnect the plug from the socket immediately.

Never use a defective appliance or a appliance with a defective cable, as there is a risk of an electrical shock.

Assembly
Unpacking
Unpack the appliance and check the content to ensure that it is complete (see delivery scope).
If you notice any transportation damage, please contact your dealer immediately.

WARNING!
Never use a defective appliance.

NOTE!
Keep the packaging for storing the appliance or subsequent transportation (e.g. if you move house, service).
Assembling

WARNING!
Please ensure that the mains plug is disconnected before assembling the parts, otherwise the appliance might start up unintentionally and cause injury.

CAUTION!
Check that all filters are correctly in place before using the appliance. The appliance may not be used without filters.

Suction hose
Press the pipe at the end of the suction hose into the air intake opening on the vacuum cleaner.


NOTE!
To release the suction hose, squeeze both locking parts on the pipe and pull the suction hose from the air intake opening.

Nozzles




Suction hose / telescopic pipe
Insert the handle of the suction hose into the telescopic pipe and twist slightly.
Nozzles / hand pipe and/or telescopic pipe
Setting the length of the suction pipe
Use your thumb to press the slide element in the direction of the arrow. Hold the lower part of the pipe in your other hand and pull or push the suction pipe to the required length.
The vacuum cleaner is now ready for use.

CAUTION!
Always switch off the appliance before changing the nozzle.
The floor nozzle has a switch (see arrow) which sets the nozzle for cleaning of either carpets or hard flooring. You can activate this switch with your foot.
Vacuum-cleaning hard floors The brush element is extended. Carpenting: The brush element is retracted.
The hard floor nozzle is used for cleaning hard floors such as tiles, parquet or PVC etc.
The crevice nozzle serves to clean hard-to-access places, such as deep cracks, corners, recesses etc.
The upholstery nozzle is used to clean furniture, pictures, window sills, booksn etc.
The turbo brush can clean deep down into carpets and rugs to remove stubborn fluff and animal hairs thanks to the suctioning air flow driven by the rotating brush element.

NOTE!
Select a medium to high suction level.

WARNING!
Risk of injury: Do not place your hand into the rotating brush roller when working with the turbo-suction brush.
Operation
Vacuum cleaning

WARNING!
Check the appliance and the power cable before use. Faulty appliances may cause injury and should not be used.


A crevice nozzle [Q] and an upholstery nozzle [P] are stored in the accessory chamber. To open the accessory chamber lid [J], press the two unlocking buttons at the same time.
- Attach the required nozzle.
- Pull out the power supply cable by tugging on the plug until the required length is reached. A yellow mark on the cable shows you that the maximum cable length has almost been reached. The maximum cable length is shown by a red mark on the cable. Never pull the cable out of the appliance beyond the red mark.
- To switch the vacuum cleaner on, press the ON-OFF foot button [H]. If pressed again, the appliance switches off.
- Set the required suction level using the suction power regulator [G].

NOTE!
When the dust bag or filters are full, or if the accessories are blocked (hose, pipe, nozzle), the 'change filter' lamp will shine [D]. To ensure correct analysis, the maximum suction level [G] needs to be set and the floor nozzle needs to be lifted from the floor.
In this case, change the dust bag or blocked filter or remedy the blockage.
Work breaks

Use the park holder of the floor nozzle to hold the suction pipe safely in position when the cleaner is not being used. To do this, insert the park holder of the floor nozzle into the nozzle holder on the reverse of the appliance.

WARNING!
Check the appliance and the power cable before use. Faulty appliances may cause injury and should not be used.
After vacuum cleaning

- Press the foot button "On/Off" [H] to switch off the vacuum cleaner.
- Remove the plug from the mains socket.
- Press the foot button "Wind cable" [F] to reel in the cable. Gently guide the cable with your hand until the cable has been completely wound in.
- Insert the holder [R] of the telescopic pipe [A] into the park rail on the underneath of the appliance. Now you can carry the appliance easily or place it on the floor.
- Store the vacuum cleaner in a place that is out of the reach of children.


CAUTION!
Never place the appliance next to heat sources and avoid direct sunlight, as the heat may damage the vacuum cleaner.
After use
Servicing and cleaning

WARNING!
Before servicing or cleaning, switch off the appliance and remove the mains plug, otherwise the appliance could be accidentally switched on and cause injury.
Only clean the appliance using a dry or damp cloth.

WARNING!
If the mains cable of this appliance becomes damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or his customer service or a similarly qualified person to avoid injury.

WARNING!
Repairs and service work may only be performed by professionals (e.g. Fakir customer service). Only original fakir spare parts may be used. Any appliances that are not repaired or serviced properly pose a risk to the user.
The filter chamber can also be cleaned with a damp cloth if necessary.
Accessories such as the hose, pipes and nozzles should be regularly checked for blockages and then cleaned; if necessary they can be washed out and dried.
Changing the dust bag



- Lift the catch of the dust chamber lid [L].
- Open the dust chamber lid [S] - you will hear it click into place.
- Remove the full dust bag [T] from the holder [U] by pulling in the direction of the arrow.
- Insert the new bag [T] completely into the holder [U] in the direction shown by the arrow.
- Press down the dust chamber lid [S], until it clicks into place.

NOTE!
If the dust bag is not in place or not in the correct position, the lid block (holder) will prevent the dust chamber lid [S] from closing correctly. Always ensure that all the filters are inserted before you use the vacuum cleaner.
Changing the motor protection filter


The motor protection filter is located behind the dust bag in the dust chamber.
- Open the dust chamber lid and remove the dust bag (see "Changing the dust bag").
- Push the motor protection filter-cassette [V] as far up as possible until you can remove it.
- Remove the motor protection filter [W] from the cassette and insert a new filter.
- Push the motor protection filter-cassette [V] back down into the guide rails again.
- Reinsert the dust bag and close the dust chamber lid.

NOTE!
Change cycle, after approx. 5 dust bags.
After use
Changing the HEPA filter


The HEPA\*Filter is located below the grille.
- Push the catch [X] backwards (toward the suction output regulator), and lift up the waste air grille [E].
- Remove the HEPA-filter [Y] and replace with a new one.
-
First place the waste air grille [E] at the back with both flaps inserted in the casing and push it forwards toward the catch until you hear it click down into place.

NOTE!
Change cycle after approx. 6 months.
Disposal


When the appliance reaches the end of its service life, in particular when functional problems start occurring, make the appliance unserviceable by cutting through the power cable.
Dispose of the appliance properly according to the environmental regulations applicable in your country.
Electrical waste may not be disposed of together with household waste. Please hand in the unserviceable appliance to a central collection point.
The packaging of the appliance comprises recyclable materials. Please place each of the materials into the respective collection bins so that they can be recycled.
Please contact your local authority or your dealer if you need any advice about recycling.
You can dispose of the used dust bag and filter in the household waste system.

We provide a warranty for the appliance subject to the following conditions:
- The Customer's main place of residence is in Germany and the appliance was bought from a dealer located in Germany.
- We undertake to repair the appliance free-of-charge, including free shipping) if it becomes defective due to a material or assembly error within 24 months (within 12 month if used commercially or used for self-employed professional purposes) and if notification of the defect is given within the warranty period.
A pre-condition of our warranty is that the appliance is always treated properly. The warranty terms start on the date of purchase.
- Parts subject to natural wear (e.g. drive belts, chargeable batteries, brushes, filters), do not fall under the terms of the warranty.
- The warranty will lapse if the appliance is modified or repaired by persons we have not authorised. Also, no third party spare parts or accessories may be used.
- The main focus of the warranty is on performing repairs or exchanging defective parts. Repairs on site can only be demanded for large stationary appliances.
When making a warranty claim, the invoice or purchase receipt from the dealer stating the date of purchase must be presented.
- If a repair fails and the damage or defect cannot be rectified even after a second attempt, the appliance will be replaced with one of the same value. If neither repair nor replacement is possible, the customer is entitled to return the device and demand reimbursement of the purchase price. In the event that the appliance is exchanged or the purchase price reimbursed, a usage fee may be raised for the period that the appliance was in use.
- Warranty work does not extend the warranty period or mark the start of a new warranty period. The warranty term for installed spare parts ends at the same time as the warranty period for the whole appliance.
- The contractual and/or statutory regulations relating to the correction of faults is not affected by the provisions of the warranty.
