• Do not use this appliance near water.
• Never use the appliance with wet hands.
• The appliance must never be

submerged in water and must not become wet during cleaning.

Warning!

Do not use this appliance near bathtubs, showers, basins or other vessels containing water.

• Never place the appliance on a damp surface or on a damp cloth when it is switched on.
• The plug must be removed from the socket after use when the appliance is used in a bathroom. The proximity of water presents a hazard even when appliance is switched off!
• Do not use the appliance for any other purpose than described in this manual.
• The voltage of the power source must be the same as specified on the

apppliance.

• Switch the appliance off if the drying process is interrupted.

• The plug must be removed from the socket:

• if a fault occurs during use

• every time it is cleaned

• after use

• Never remove the plug by pulling on the cable.

• Never wind the cable around the appliance.

• The appliance must not be switched on if:

• the cable is damaged

• there is visible damage to the appliance

• the appliance has been dropped

• When the appliance is connected to

the power, never leave it unattended.

• Wait until the appliance has cooled down before you store it.
• This appliance can be used by children from the age of 8 up as well as by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental abilities or with lacking experience and/or knowledge, if these persons are supervised or have been instructed how to use the appliance in a safe way and have understood the hazards which could arise from using it. Children must not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance must not be carried out by children unless they are supervised.

• The appliance must not come into contact with flammable materials. It must also not be used near flammable materials because the curling iron reaches temperatures of approx. 230^ .

• Never cover the appliance with an object.

• Do not place the hot appliance on any heat sensitive surfaces.
• Place the appliance on a stable, flat surface during use.

>Operating instructions

1. Use a heat protective serum or spray before using the straightener.
2. Make sure the hair is dry before using the straightener.
3. Brush your hair to ensure it is free of knots.

4. Select a temperature suitable for your type of hair:

5. Select a low temperature (155°C or 170°C) for thin or dyed hair.

6. Select medium temperature (185°C or 200°C) for normal or wavy hair.

7. Select high temperature (215°C or 230°C) for thick or curly hair.

8. When the lights stop flashing, the selected temperature has been reached and you can start.

9. Divide the hair into strands.
10. Hold the appliance by its handle, always at a safe distance from the eyes and skin.

11. Place a hair strand at the roots between the plates.

12. Close the appliance and move the straightener slowly to the end of the hair strand.

13. Repeat the steps until all the hair has been treated.
14. Let the hair cool down.
15. Enjoy your new look!

> Cleaning and maintenance

Ensure that the appliance is disconnected from the mains before cleaning. Do not submerge it in water. Protect the appliance against dust.

Use a soft non-abrasive cloth that is slightly dampened with water to wipe the appliance's surface. Do not allow water or any other liquid to get into the handle of the appliance.

Environmental and Disposal

The packing material and the unit and accessories are made of materials that can be recycled.

Appropriate separation and disposal of the remaining materials helps recycling.
