1.2. INSTALLING TWO APPLIANCES
During installing the freezer

The6thSenseFreezeControl/ProFreezeFreeze Controlfunctionworkstomaintaintheright temperatureinthefollowingcases: - Door opened for a while The function activates when door opening causes the internal temperature to increase to values that do not ensure safe storage of food and remains active until optimalstorageconditionshavebeenrestored. - Fresh food stored in the freezer The function activates when fresh food is placed in the freezer and remains active until optimal freezing conditions are reached so as to ensure the best freezingqualitywiththelowestpowerconsumption. Note: Besides the quantity of food loaded into the freezer,ambienttemperatureandthequantityoffood already inside the freezer affect the duration of the 6thSenseFreezeControl/ProFreezeFreezeControl function.Thereforesignificantdurationvariationsare quitenormal.
ThisfunctionturnsOn/Stand-bythefreezer compartments.ToputtheproductinStand-by,press& holdtheOn/Stand-bybutton for3seconds.When theapplianceisinStand-by,thelightinsidethefreezer compartmentdoesnotwork.Rememberthatthis operation does not disconnect the appliance from the powersupply.ToswitchtheapplianceOnagain,simply presstheOn/Stand-Bybutton
- Ifthefoodinthefreezerisunfrozenbutstillcold,all the food in the freezer should be eaten within the next24hours.
- Ifthefoodinthefreezerisfrozen,thisindicatesthe food was thawed and then refrozen when electricity wasre-suppliedwhichdegradestaste,quality andnutritionalvalueandalsocouldbeunsafe.It is recommended to not consume the food but to disposeoftheentirecontentofthefreezer.The BlackOutAlarmisdesignedtoprovideguidanceon food quality in the freezer in the event of electricity blackout.Thissystemdoesnotguaranteefood quality or safety and consumers are advised to use their own judgment in evaluating food quality in freezercompartment. 2.5. TEMPERATURE ALARM The acoustic alarm sounds and temperature indicator (°C)blinks.Thealarmisactivatedwhen:
- The appliance is connected to the power supply after prolonged disuse
- The freezer compartment temperature is too high
- The quantity of fresh foods loaded into the freezer exceeds that indicated on the rating plate
The Alarm icon lights up blinking and the acoustic alarmsounds.Thealarmisactivatedwhenthedoor isleftopenformorethan2minutes.Todisengagethe dooralarmclosethedoor,orpressonceStopAlarm button tomutetheacousticalarm. *Availableonselectedmodelsonly.PleasecheckontheQUICKSTARTGUIDEifthisfunctionisactuallyavailableonyourmodel.258 2.7. PARTY MODE* Use this function to chill drinks inside the freezer compartment.30minutesafterselection(the timerequiredtochilla0.75lbottlewithoutthe glassbreaking),thesymbolflashes,anacoustic alarmsounds:removethebottlefromthefreezer compartment and press the Stop Alarm button to disablethealarm. Important: do not leave the bottle inside the freezer compartment longer than the time necessary for chilling. 2.8. SHOCK FREEZE* The“ShockFreeze”compartmentisspecifically designed to freeze up to 2 kg of fresh food extremely quickly.Theultra-fast“ShockFreeze”function minimizes the formation of ice crystals inside the food asitfreezes,thusensuringitisofthebestpossible qualitywhendefrostedpriortoconsumption.Whenthe “ShockFreeze”functionisnotactive,thecompartment can be used as normal for traditional freezing or for the storageofalreadyfrozenfoods. Note:WhentheShockFreezefunctionisactiveyou mayhearahummingsound.Thisisabsolutelynormal and is caused by airflow that permits optimum cold distributioninsidecompartment. TheEcoNightfunctionenablesapplianceenergy consumption to be concentrated in the reduced rate hours(generallyatnight),whenelectricityisreadily availableandcostslessthanduringthedaytime(only incountriesthatutiliseatimebasedmulti-ratesystem- checkenergyrateswiththelocalelectricitycompany). Toactivatethefunction,pressthebutton at the reducedratestarttime(dependingonthespecific ratesplan).Forexample,ifthereducedratestartsat 8p.m.,pressthebutton atthattime.WhentheEco Night indicator isON,thefunctionisON.Once thefunctionisactivated,theapplianceautomatically adapts energy consumption according to the time selected,i.e.consuminglessenergyduringtheday thanatnight. IMPORTANT:Tooperateproperly,thefunctionmust beonduringthenightandday.Thefunctionremains onuntildeactivated(oritisdeactivatedincaseofa powerfailureorapplianceswitch-off).Todeactivate thefunction,pressthebutton again.Whenthe EcoNightindicator isOFF,thefunctionisOFF. Note: The declared appliance energy consumption referstooperationwiththeEcoNightfunction deactivated. 2.11. FREEZE CONTROL* FreezeControlisanadvancedtechnologythat reduces temperature fluctuations in the whole freezer compartmenttominimum,thankstoaninnovativeair system,totallyindependentfromthefridge.Freezeburns are significantly reduced and food preserves its original qualityandcolor. ToactivatetheFreezeControlchoosethefunctionfrom themenu,setto>ON<andpressOKbuttontoconfirm theselection.Todeactivatethisfunctionrepeatthe sameproceduresettingto>OFF<. The function works properly in a defined range of temperature:between-22°Cand-24°C. Whenthefunctionisengagedandthecurrent temperature in the freezer is set to the warmer set point than-22°C,thetemperatureisautomaticallysetto-22°C tomatchtheworkingrange. If the function is engaged and the user modify the freezertemperatureoutoftheworkingrange,the functionisautomaticallyswitchedoff. IncaseofFastfreezingisengaged,thefunction“Freeze control”isinhibiteduntiltheFastFreezingfunction switchedoff.
2.12. AUTOMATIC NO FROST
This product is designed to defrost automatically according to conditions of use and ambient humidity No Frost freezers provide chilled air circulation around thestorageareasandpreventtheformationofice, therebycompletelyeliminatingtheneedfordefrosting. Frozenitemsdon’tsticktothewalls,labelingstayslegible andstoragespaceremainsneatandclear. Incombinationwiththe6thSenseFreezeControl/ ProFreezeFreezeControl,notonlydoesitcontrolthe sensor,butdirectsthecoolingpowerexactlywhereitis needed,optimizingenergyefficiency.260 2.13. ICE MATE*
HOW TO MAKE ICE CUBES
You can remove the ice cube tray by pulling it towards you.
WARNING:fillwithpotablewateronly(maximumlevel
=2/3oftheoverallcapacity).
PlaceagaintheIceMateinfreezercompartment,or reinserttheicecubetraywithintheIceMate.Takecare nottospillwater. Waituntiltheicecubesareformed(itisrecommended towaitforabout4hours). NOTE:IceMateisremovable.Itcanbeplaced in horizontal position anywhere in the freezer compartmentortakenoutoftheappliancewhenice- makingisnotrequired.
The light system inside the freezer compartment uses LEDslight,allowingabetterlightningaswellasvery lowenergyconsumption.IftheLEDlightsystemdoes notwork,pleasecontacttheServicetoreplaceit.
CAPACITY You can increase storage capacity in the freezer compartmentby:
- removingthebaskets/flaps*toallowthestorageof bigproducts.
- placing the food products directly on the freezer shelves.
- Allshelves,flapsandpull-outbasketsare removable.
- The internal temperatures of the appliance may be affectedbytheambienttemperature,frequencyof dooropening,aswellaslocationoftheappliance. Temperature setting should take into consideration thesefactors.
The freezer is the ideal storage location for store frozen food,makeicecubesandfreezefreshfoodinthe freezercompartment. The maximum number of kilograms of fresh food that canbefrozenwithina24-hourperiodisindicatedon theratingplate(…kg/24h). If you have a little quantity of food to store in the freezer,werecommendtousethecoldestareasof yourfreezercompartment,correspondingtotheupper orthemiddlearea,dependingonyourmodel(see the product sheet to know which is the area where is suggestedtofreezefreshfood).

- Freshvegetablesandfruitshouldpreferablybe frozen as soon as they are picked to maintain the fulloriginalnutritionalvalue,consistency,colourand flavor. Somemeat,especiallygame,shouldbehungbeforeit isfrozen. Note:
- Always leave hot food to cool before placing in the freezer.
- Eatfullyorpartiallydefrostedfoodsimmediately. Do not refreeze unless the food is cooked after it hasthawed.Oncecooked,thethawedfoodcanbe refrozen.
Ice packs helps in keeping frozen the foodstuffs in case ofpowerfailure.Forthebestusageofthem,place themabovefoodstoredinthetopofcompartment.
- Ensurethatthepackagingisnotdamaged(frozen foodindamagedpackagingmayhavedeteriorated). Ifthepackageisswollenorhasdamppatches,it may not have been stored under optimal conditions anddefrostingmayhavealreadybegun.
- Whenshopping,buyfrozenfoodsattheendofyour trip and transport them in a thermally insulated cool bag.
- Onceathome,placethefrozenfoodsimmediately inthefreezer.
- Iffoodhasdefrostedevenpartially,donotre-freeze it.Consumewithin24hours.
- Avoid or reduce temperature variations to the minimum.Respectthebest-beforedateonthe package.
- Always observe the storage information on the package.263
5. FUNCTIONAL SOUNDS
Sounds coming from your appliances are normal since it has a number of fans and engines to regulate performances that switch on and off automatically. Some of the functional sounds can be reduced through
- Levelingtheapplianceandinstallingitonaneven surface
- Separating and avoiding contact between the applianceandfurniture.
- Checkingiftheinternalcomponentsarecorrectly placed.
- Checkingifbottlesandcontainersarenotincontact witheachother. Some of the functional sounds you might hear: A hissing sound when switching on the appliance for the first time orafteralongpause. A gurgling sound when refrigerant fluidentersintothepipes. BRRRsoundisfromthe compressorrunning. Buzzing sound when water valveorfanstartworking. A cracking sound when compressor starts or when ready ice drops into ice box abrupt clicks when compressor switches on and off. TheCLICKisfromthethermostat which adjusts how often the compressorisrunning.264
6. RECOMMENDATION IN CASE OF NO USE OF THE
APPLIANCE 6.1. ABSENCE / VACATION In case longer absence its recommended to use up foodandtodisconnecttheappliancetosaveenergy. 6.2. MOVING

Iffoodisfoundtobeinapoorcondition,itisbestto throwitaway. For power failures lasting up to 24 hours.

Beforeanycleaningormaintenanceoperation,unplug the appliance from the mains or disconnect the electricalpowersupply. Periodically clean the appliance with a cloth and a solution of lukewarm water and neutral detergent specificallyforrefrigeratorinteriors.Neveruse abrasives.Nevercleanrefrigeratorpartswith flammablefluids.Thefumescancreateafirehazardor explosion.Cleantheoutsideoftheapplianceandthe doorsealwithadampclothanddrywithasoftcloth. Donotusesteamcleaners. Condenserplacedintherearoftheapplianceshould becleanedregularlyusingavacuumcleaner. Important:
- The buttons and control panel display must not be cleanedwithalcoholoralcohol-derivedsubstances, butwithadrycloth.
- The refrigeration system pipes are located near the defrostpanandcanbecomehot.Periodicallyclean themwithavacuumcleaner.
Performanceproblemsoftenresultfromlittlethingsyoucanfindandfixyourselfwithouttoolsofanykind. PROBLEM SOLUTION The appliance is not working: • Is the power cable plugged into a live socket with the proper voltage?
- Have you checked the protection devices and fuses of the electricalsysteminyourhome? If there is water in the defrost pan: • Thisisnormalinhot,dampweather.Thepancanevenbehalf full.Makesuretheapplianceislevelsothatthewaterdoesnot overflow. If the edges of the appliance cabinet, which come in contact with the door seal, are warm to the touch:
- This is normal in hot weather and when the compressor is running. If the light does not work: • Have you checked the protection devices and fuses of the electricalsysteminyourhome?
- Is the power cable plugged into a live socket with the proper voltage?
- Arethedoorproperlyclosed?
- If the appliance door has been left open for a while or if large amountsoffoodhavebeenstored,themotorwillrunlongerin ordertocooldowntheinterioroftheappliance. If the appliance temperature is too high:
- Checkthatthedoorisnotopenedtoooften.
- Checkthatthedoorcloseproperly. If the doors do not open and close properly:
