The indicator light stays on but the heating element does not turn red - why is the oven not heating?
Frequently Asked Questions - 06/16/2026
Response Notice-Facile

This problem indicates an internal malfunction of the oven, not incorrect use.

According to the manual for the ARDES Gustavo AR6210B oven:

  • The indicator light must turn off once the set temperature is reached (maximum 230 °C)
  • The two heating elements (upper and lower coils) must turn red during heating

If the light stays on and the heating element never turns red, the heating element is likely defective (burnt out resistor or stuck thermostat).

Quick checks to perform:

  • Set the temperature to maximum (230 °C) using the control knob (1)
  • Wait 5-10 minutes
  • Check if the light turns off (indicating that the thermostat is functioning)

If the light stays on and no heating occurs: this is an internal failure. Contact an ARDES Service Center for inspection and possible replacement of the heating element.

Initial Checks
