Frequently Asked Questions - H 6800 BMX MIELE

How to connect my Miele H 6800 BMX oven to Wi-Fi via the Miele@mobile app?
To connect your oven, make sure the WLAN module XKM 3100 W is inserted. Download the Miele@mobile app on your smartphone, create an account, then select 'Add new device'. Follow the instructions: for iOS, connect to the 'Miele@home-XXXXX' network using the manufacturing number without the first '0' as the password. For Android, enter the Wi-Fi access data in the app. Once connected, the appliance will appear in the application.
What are the available cooking modes on the H 6800 BMX?
The oven offers 11 cooking modes, including: fan forced, bottom heat, grill, fan grill, intensive fan forced, gentle cooking, keep warm, defrost, pyrolysis, and two automatic modes. You can select the mode via the touch screen.
How to use the pyrolysis function for cleaning?
Pyrolysis heats the oven to about 480°C to burn off food residues. Make sure to remove any removable accessories. Select the pyrolysis program in the menu, choose the duration (2h, 2h30 or 3h), then start. The door locks automatically. After cooling, wipe away the ashes with a damp cloth.
What is the interior capacity of the oven?
The interior volume is 76 liters, allowing you to cook large quantities. The usable dimensions are approximately 47 cm wide, 39 cm deep, and 36 cm high.
Can I lock the oven to prevent children from using it?
Yes, the oven has a child lock. Activate it in the settings or by pressing and holding the lock key (usually represented by a padlock). Additionally, the 'Cool door safety' function keeps the door at a safe temperature.
How to set the time and timer on the oven?
Via the touch screen, go to the 'Settings' menu, then 'Time'. You can set the time manually or synchronize it automatically via Wi-Fi. The timer is set by pressing the clock icon. Enter the desired duration (up to 99 minutes). An audible alarm will sound at the end.
What to do if the oven does not heat properly?
First check that the oven is properly plugged in and the circuit breaker has not tripped. Make sure the door is fully closed. If the problem persists, reset the oven by unplugging it for 1 minute. Contact Miele service if the malfunction continues.
What accessories are supplied with the H 6800 BMX?
The oven is supplied with an enameled drip pan, a metal grid, an enamel roasting pan, and a mounting kit for built-in installation. Optional accessories such as a pizza stone or cooking probe are available.
How to maintain the door and glass panes of the oven?
To clean the door, use a soft cloth and a non-abrasive glass cleaner. The glass panes can be removed for deep cleaning: remove the upper fixing clips, then gently lift the inner glass. Avoid harsh cleaners that could scratch.
Where to find the manufacturing number needed for Wi-Fi connection?
The manufacturing number (FD-Nr.) is located on the rating plate on the side of the oven or behind the door. It usually starts with 0, but for Wi-Fi connection, you must enter the digits without the first 0. For example, if the number is 023423585, use 23423585 as the password.

en - Connecting a household appliance to the WiFi network via smartphone/tablet

To use the Miele@mobile app or Miele@home features such as SuperVision or time synchronisation, your Miele household appliance must be connected to your WiFi network.

In these instructions you learn how to connect the following Miele appliances to a WiFi network using a smartphone or tablet (iOS® and Android™ systems):

  • Ovens and microwave combination ovens (H 65xx/66xx BM/B/BP, H 6760 BP, H 68xx BM/BMX/B/BP/BPX)

  • Coffee machines (CVA6800, CVA6805)

If you have the necessary expertise, it is also possible to configure the WiFi network for your Miele appliance via the sub menu "Miele@home", however, we recommend connecting via the app.

Do not change the settings in the sub menu "Miele@home". You may no longer be able to connect your appliance to the WiFi network. If you have any questions, call Miele After-Sales Service.

Make sure that the signal of your WiFi network is sufficiently strong in the place where you want to set up your appliance.
