Four years after the company's foundation in 1981 we developed our first BACKPACK MODEL. We realized 30 years ago that a backpack is an essential part of a full set of EMERGENCY EQUIPMENT (avalanche transceiver, shovel, probe). The models developed back then were still archaically called »DEEP SNOW
BACKPACKS«, yet already followed the safety principle back in 1985 that still inspires us to this day in all product ranges. During over a quarter of a century's experience in designing backpacks, a number of INNOVATIONS can be attributed to us.
Standard features like an integrated back protector, a SAFETY COMPARTMENT, which allows quick access to the emergency equipment, or access to the main compartment via the back system, were established by ORTOVOX. Today our backpacks stand for the highest QUALITY, innovative DETAILS, FUNCTIONALITY as well as unique DESIGN, based on a vast wealth of experience.
