Those who have not read the manual should not operate the harden shredder. Keep this manual at a safe place for future reference.
1. Anybody operating the garden shredder should be held liable for personal safety of any standing by persons.
2. Children and pets should stay at a safe distance from the running machine (6 metres as a minimum).
3. Working with the garden shredder. Always wear safety anti-skid shoes, gloves, goggles and long pants.
4. Wear a respirator if using the shredder in a dusty environment.
5. Take care not to draw your hands, legs, hair and garments near the outlets and moving parts.
6. Avoid wearing loose clothing and jewellery that could be pulled in the inlets.
7. Before putting the shredder in operation, always check to see that it is installed correctly.
8. Do not use the garden shredder in rainy weather and in moisture.
9. If the machine is out of use, it should be kept at a dry, safe place outside the reach of children.
10. Check the power supply lines on a regular basis and any faulty lines have replaced by skilled personnel.
11. Keep any clamps and handgrips dry and clean.
12. Before switching the garden shredder on, make sure that any external nuts, bolts and screws are tight and secured.
13. Never leave the garden shredder running when lying on side. It has been designed to be operated in vertical position only. 14. Do not use the machine to work flammable materials, such as cigarette ends or barbeque charcoal. 15. Do not use the machine to work flammable, toxic and explosive materials. 16. Do not use the machine to work wet leaves and debris. 17. Always wear goggles when working with the garden shredder. Before turning the garden shredder on, make sure that the voltage corresponds to the rated voltage as shown on the plate. The shredder is dimensioned for operation at 230 V. It may be damaged if connected to source of another voltage. Do not expose the machine to rain and moisture. The machine should be connected via a device to protect against fault current with breaking current to 30 mA.

Warning: Before any adjustment and troubleshooting and before getting down to cleaning and
maintenance, switch the shredder off and unplug it. Assembly NOTICE: Safe and efficient use of the garden shredder is subject to correct assembly. Follow the installation instructions below: Chassis Assembly Place the machine on the hopper. Now, put the chassis in the spacing screws as shown in the figure and tighten the screws. Install the wheel axis in place and wheels on the chassis. Use the screws included in the delivery.
Operating Instructions NOTICE: Read the safety precautions and warnings in this manual before connecting the machine to the mains and switching it on. Switch the machine off any time you wish to adjust or remove any jamming. NOTICE: If the machine gets jammed while in operation, switch it off immediately and disconnect from the mains. Follow the troubleshooting instructions then Switching on/off
Push this button to switch the shredder on. Take care to see that there is NOT any material to be shredded in the machine at the beginning of work! (1) Having finished the job or with a defect observed, push this button. (2) There is forward movement and reverse movement function on the machine, forward movement is necessary for shredding while reverse movement at jamming or faults. (4) If it is impossible to remove a fault by reverse movement button pushing, switch the machine off IMMEDIATELY!
NOTICE: Before judging a trouble of the shredder, switch it off and unplug. If the shredder shows a defect, switch over to reverse movement function.
Set screw to control by the size of material to be shredded. In majority of cases, a defect may be removed by switching over to reverse movement function. If you notice damage to shredding unit cause by unqualified handing, improper material or too thick material to be shredded, turn to an authorised servicing centre or a specialised dealer.
