It is normal if some smoke or smell emanates from the appliance when using it for the first time. Therefore, we advise you to use your appliance empty once before the first use. Set the timer to ca. 10 minutes at the maximum temperature (230°C) on the "heat from above and below" position. OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

  • When using for the first time, clean the appliance with a damp cloth and wipe dry.
  • Plug the unit into an earthed wall socket.
  • Put the food in the oven.

Select the desired cooking mode (upper heating element, lower heating element or both combined) and the temperature thanks to the buttons 2 and 1 on the control panel.

Turn the mechanical timer (4) to set the desired cooking time. The pilot light will illuminate. You'll hear a signal when the cooking time has elapsed. The appliance will switch off automatically. The pilot light will go out.

  • If you want to stop before the selected time is over, place the timer in the “0” position or place the function selector in the off position.
  • Turnspit: As soon as you turn on the timer, the catch for the turnspit on the right-hand side of the oven cavity starts turning automatically. So please remove the turnspit when you do not wish to use it.
  • When you have fitted the turnspit (make sure that the foodstuffs do not stick out too far and that they cannot touch the heating elements, fix for instance chicken drumsticks with wooden toothpicks), first put the square part of the turnspit into the opening of the catch on the right, then into the guide groove on the left.
  • Always carefully open the door, preferably using an oven glove.
  • Remove the food using appropriate utensils. To take out the baking tray or the rack, make use of the carrying handle (11).
  • After use, remove the plug from the wall socket. SETTINGS THERMOSTAT You can adjust the temperature steplessly up to 230°C.

TIMER You can choose a desired cooking time up to 60 minutes. If you wish to set the timer to less than 5 minutes, turn it to a position higher than 5 minutes first and then set it back to the desired time.

MAINTENANCE Before cleaning, unplug the appliance from outlet and allow it to cool down.   • A short power supply cord is provided to reduce the risk resulting from becoming entangled in, or tripping over a longer cord. Extension cords may be used if care is exercised in their use.
