Please read these instructions carefully before using the appliance.
Important: People (including children) who are not able to use the appliance in a safe way, due to their physical, sensorial or mental capacity or their lack of experience or knowledge, must never use the appliance except if they are supervised by a person responsible for their safety or if they previously received instructions concerning the safe use of the appliance. Close supervision is necessary to prevent children from using the appliance as a toy.

☐ Never leave the appliance unsupervised when in use.
From time to time check the cord for damages. Never use the appliance if cord or appliance shows any signs of damage but have it checked and repaired by a competent qualified service(*). Should the cord be damaged, it must be replaced by a competent qualified service (*)

Before cleaning and when you do not use the appliance, always unplug the appliance from the power supply. Do not attempt to remove the plug from the wall socket with wet hands.
☐ Never use the appliance outside and always place it in a dry environment.
☐ Never use accessories that are not recommended by the producer. They could constitute a danger to the user and risk to damage the appliance.
☐ Never move the appliance by pulling the cord. Make sure the cord cannot get caught in any way. Do not wind the cord around the appliance and do not bend it.

☐ Stand the appliance on a stable surface so that it cannot fall.
☐ In order to avoid overheating, do not place the appliance under a power socket. The power socket must not be in the hot airflow of the appliance.
□ Always position the heater in such a way that inflammable materials (such as curtains) cannot be ignited. Ensure at all times that the unit is placed solidly on its base. Make sure that the air inlet and outlet openings are not blocked.
To avoid any risk of fire, do not cover the heater (ex. With clothes).
☐ The heater should only be operated at a minimum distance of 50cm from any wall or other object and of 1 meter from combustibles.
☐ Warning: Do not operate the heater near baths, showers, washbasins, swimming pools or any other water container. It must be impossible to reach the commands of your appliance when you are in contact with water.
☐ The temperature of the grids may be very high when the appliance is in use. Avoid contact with the skin.
☐ Do not allow the power cord to touch any hot part of the appliance.
□ Never use the appliance near inflammable or explosive materials.
☐ Do not insert any objects through the grille or into the interior of the appliance.
☐ Do not use double adapters, timers, programmers or other devices that connect the heater automatically.

ASSEMBLY
• To operate more easily lay the heater horizontally.
- Unscrew both screws located on the lower part of the appliance.
- Take out the power cord from the slot which is in the centre of the base and mount this base on the lower part.
- Insert the screws in the base and tighten them.
BATTERIES
- In order to be able to use the remote control, you first have to insert the batteries in it. To do so:
- Open the battery compartment by pressing on the cover and sliding this cover down.
- Insert the batteries, making sure you respect the + and - polarity.
- Close the compartment by sliding the cover in the opposite direction. Use 2 AA-type batteries of 1.5 V. Never mix up new and old batteries or batteries of different types.
- When you decide to throw away the appliance, make sure to remove the battery and to dispose of it in an ecological manner by handing it in a place intended for this end.
Caution: if you don't use your remote control for a long time, it is recommended to remove the batteries because they could run.
USE
- When the appliance is plugged in, the stand-by pilot light is on. Each time you press the buttons, a beep sound is heard.
- Select the heat by means of the suitable button "ON 1/2/3" on the remote control or "ON 400/800/1200W" on the control panel of the appliance. Press the "button of the remote control or "Turn" on the control panel to switch the oscillating movement on and off. By pressing the "button of the remote control or the "TIME" button on the control panel, you can set the switch-off time of the appliance. The timer is adjustable from 0.5 hour (min) up to 7.5 hours (max). Every pressing corresponds to 0.5 hour. Some settings will switch on several pilot lights. For instance, if you select 1 hour and 30 minutes, the first two pilot lights will be on.
- To switch off the appliance, press the "OFF/0" switch of the remote control or the "() on the control panel and remove the plug from the power supply.
- Your appliance is fitted with two safety devices: the first one disconnects your appliance when it is tilted or tipped. If your appliance falls, switch it off, replace it correctly and switch it on again. The second safety device disconnects the appliance in case of overheating by means of a thermo fuse.
- In case your appliance does not work when you switch it on, check that it is correctly placed and that the safety device is not blocked.
MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
- Before cleaning the appliance, ensure it is disconnected from the power supply and has cooled down completely.
- The housing may be wiped with a slightly damp, lint-fee cloth; do not use any abrasive scouring pad or steel wool.
• The grids are particularly delicate; to clean them you can carefully use a vacuum cleaner. - When you do not use the appliance, you can cover and place it in a dry environment.
GUARANTEE
Never move the appliance while it is operating and make sure it does not fall, as this could destroy the tubes.
Also make sure that the remote control does not fall and do not expose it to heat sources or high humidity as this could cause irreversible damages.
