Turn the thermostat on the iron according to the fabric: • for synthetic/silk, •• for wool, ••• for cotton/linen, and MAX for high temperature. The indicator turns off when the temperature is reached.

How to use the vertical steam function?

Hang the garment on a hanger, hold the iron about 2-3 cm from the fabric and press the steam ejection button (9) or use the lock (8) for a continuous jet.

How to clean and maintain the iron?

Unplug the appliance and wait for it to cool down. Wipe the walls with a dry cloth, clean the soleplate with a slightly damp cloth without abrasive detergent. Never immerse the appliance in water.

How to regenerate the anti-scale filter?

Every 8 to 15 days, unscrew the cartridge cover, remove the filter medium sachet, soak it for 2 hours in a brine (500 ml water + 50 g dishwasher salt), then reassemble everything.

What to do if steam is insufficient?

Check that the tank is well filled and that the steam regulator is on a high position. If necessary, regenerate the anti-scale filter.

The appliance does not heat up, what to do?

Make sure the power outlet works (try another outlet) and that the thermostat is not on MIN. If the problem persists, check the fuse of your installation.

What type of water to use?

Use only tap water. Do not use battery water, dryer water, or water with additives (starch, perfume, softener) as this would damage the appliance.

Instructions

Unpacking

Remove any protective fi lms and adhesive labels from the stainless steel soleplate before using the appliance. Completely unwind the line cord.

Electrical connection

• Make sure that the iron voltage (see name plate) and the line voltage match.
- The mains plug should only be inserted into a correctly installed 230 V \~ 50 Hz socket with earthing contact.

Connected Wattage

The station has a total maximum wattage of 2600 W. With this connected load a separate supply line protected by a 16 A household circuit breaker is recommended.

CAUTION: OVERLOAD:

• If you use extension leads, these should have a cable cross-section of at least 1.5mm.
• Do not use any multiple sockets, as this device is too powerful.

Temperature Control on the Iron

The symbols on the control correspond to the following settings:

• (Synthetics, silk)		low temperature

This device should only be used for ironing garments and textiles!

Steam Quantity Control

With the steam quantity control you can set the desired steam quantity.

Water Tank

The water tank has a recessed grip on the bottom so that it can be removed. This makes it easier to fill up.

The volume of the water tank is 900 ml.

Water

Only tap water should be used. Do not use any decalcifi ers! These will destroy the device!

The following is also unsuitable: Do not fill battery water, water from the clothes dryer and water containing additives (such as starch, perfume, softener or other chemicals) into the water reservoir.

This could damage the iron due to residues forming in the steam chamber. These residues may cause impurities to the fabric when dropping out of the holes in the soleplate.

Lock/Lime Filter

The lock of the water tank is also the lime fi lter cartridge. Take out the lime fi lter cartridge to fi ll with water.

Lime Filter Regeneration

Depending on how often you use the station, lime has to be removed from the fi liter medium every one to two weeks (regeneration).

• To do so, unscrew the lid (d) from the cartridge (c).
- Release the cap (a).
- The bags (b) with the fi Iter medium are located in the lime fi Iter cartridge.
• Prepare a salt solution of 500 ml of water and 50 g of special salt for dishwashers.
- Immerse the bags with the filter medium in the solution for 2 hours.
- Reassemble the parts and your station is ready for operation again.

Before Initial Use

Clean the ironing base with a slightly damp cloth.

CAUTION: INITIAL USE:

Before initial use the station has to be operated for 1 minute with water.

Please proceed as follows:

• Remove the water tank and the lime filter cartridge.
• Fill in fresh tap water up to the maximum mark. Do not overfi ll!
• Close the water tank and place it back in the base.
• Connect the base station to a 230 V / 50 Hz socket with earthing contact.
• Turn the temperature control to MAX. The control lamp on the iron lights up.
• Wait until the soleplate has heated up. Once the temperature has been reached the control lamp goes off.
• Please wait until the control lamp on the iron has switched itself off three times again.
• Now press the steam jet button for at least 1 minute or use the lock to fix the steam jet button in place.

i NOTE:

This time is needed to transport the water from the tank to the iron.

• When the first steam is expelled by the iron you can stop the procedure. Then press the steam jet button another 2-3 times without touching the clothes that are to be ironed.
  • After you have ironed an old but clean cloth a few times, your station is ready for use.

Operation

Ironing without steam

i NOTE:

• Sort out the garments according to their ironing temperatures.
• Always set the temperature control to „MIN“ before connecting the appliance to a power point, or before disconnecting it.
• Only connect the machine to a properly installed safety socket, 230 V/50 Hz.
• Start with the lower temperatures. It is set with the thermostat (1).
• Place the iron on its stand.
• The control lamp on the iron shows that it is heating up. As soon as this goes off, the operating temperature has been reached. As soon as the control lamp goes off the operating temperature has been reached. Now you can start ironing. Always turn the temperature control to „0“ after use and remove the mains plug (the control lamp in the handle goes off).

Steam Ironing

WARNING:

The iron expels a large quantity of hot steam. Danger of burns.

CAUTION:

When using the steam iron please ensure that the water tank is always filled to the required level. Operation without water will damage the pump.

Fill the water tank.

• Wait until the iron has heated up.
• Steam jet: Press the button (9) on the iron.
• Permanent steam: The button (9) can be fixed in place with the lock (8).
• Controlling the steam quantity: Set the desired steam quantity with the control (3).

How can I replenish the water during operation?

Refi II with water before the tank is completely empty.

• Switch off the steam with the button (9).
• Place the iron on the heel rest.
• You can remove the tank and fill it up from a tap.
• Replace the tank on the base. You can now continue operation.

Vertical Steam

This can be used to produce a jet of steam in a vertical direction.

Hang your laundry on a clothes hanger and move the iron to approximately 2-3cm away.

Cleaning

• Always remove the mains lead before cleaning!
- Wait until the machine has cooled down completely.
- Clean the casing with a slightly damp cloth.
- Clean the sole plate and the rest with a slightly damp cloth. Do not use any abrasive cleaning agents!
- Any residual water can remain in the water tank, but should be poured out if it has been in the tank for a prolonged period.
• The device must never be immersed in water!
