BEFORE THE FIRST USE

First remove any loose objects that are inside the water kettle.

When using the water kettle for the first time, it is recommended to clean the kettle first. Fill the water kettle with water twice and pour out the water. Wipe the outside of the kettle clean with a damp cloth.

The maximum content of the water kettle is 0.51 (indicated with MAX). The minimum content of the water kettle is 0.21 (indicated with MIN).

USING THE WATER KETTLE

  1. Slide the release button of the lid backwards, open the lid and fill the water kettle with water. Make sure that the water kettle is filled in between the minimum 0.2l and maximum 0.5l indications. If there is not enough water in the kettle, the kettle will switch itself off before the water boils. Caution: if there is too much water in the kettle (if the water exceeds the maximum indication of 0.5l), boiling water may spray out of the spout during boiling! That is why you should also make sure that the lid is well closed.

  2. Plug in the appliance and press the start button. The indicator will light up and the water will start heating up. When the water boils, the water kettle will automatically shut off.

  3. Make sure that there is no obstruction blocking the button and that the lid is properly closed. If not, the water kettle will not shut off automatically. Carefully pour out the water. Be sure to avoid contact with the hot steam.

  4. Let the water kettle cool down for 15 to 20 minutes before using it again.

  5. Unplug the water kettle when it is not being used.

BOIL-DRY PROTECTION

If you accidentally use the water kettle without water, the boil-dry protection will shut off the water kettle automatically. If this happens, let the water kettle cool down before filling it with water to boil.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Always unplug the appliance before cleaning it.

  • Never immerse the water kettle, the cord or the plug in water or do not let these parts come into contact with humidity.
  • Wipe the outside of the kettle clean with a damp cloth or maybe some mild detergent. Never use an aggressive cleaner. Never use any chemical cleaning products, steel brillow pads or wooden or abrasive cleaning products to clean the outside of the water kettle.

DESCALING

Use a liquid descaler to remove any scale on the inside of the water kettle as a result from tap water.

You can also apply the following alternate solution:

  1. Fill the water kettle with some vinegar, diluted by water and let this mixture rest for a night. Do not boil the mixture!
  2. Afterwards, pour out the mixture.
  3. Any residues can be removed with a damp cloth.
  4. Fill the water kettle with clean water, boil and pour out the water afterwards. Repeat and your water kettle is again ready for use.
