Before using the wok read the instruction booklet carefully.

You need to save this booklet for later use. When passing on the wok to someone else, please also pass on the booklet.

When using electrical appliances following basic regulations need to be followed.

Attention : this appliance gets hot during use. Necessary safety precautions need to be taken to prevent accidents caused by touching the hot parts of the appliance.

Only use the appliance in doors.

Don't immerse the appliance into water or any other liquid to prevent electric shock.

Children don't know the danger of electrical appliances, therefore keep the appliance out of the reach of children and don't leave children alone when the appliance is in use.

After use and before cleaning remove the plug from the socket.

Always let the appliance cool before cleaning or before storing it.

When malfunction occurs, check with your vendor to take the proper action.

When a failure occurs in the cord, the plug or the unit it self, don't try to repair yourself. Not only because of the risk of injuries, but also because you loose the rights stated in the warranty.

Make sure that the cord doesn't come into contact with hot surfaces and don't let the cord hang from counter tops.

Don't place the appliance near a hot stove or oven.

When cleaning the appliance don't use any abrasive cleaners.

BEFORE FIRST USE

Before first use it is recommended to clean the wok pan, grills and lid in hot water with soap.

Make sure that the plug cord or contact points don't come in contact with water.

Place the removable thermostat plug into socket from the wok.

Put the plug into a wall socket.

Turn the thermostat dial to the desired temperature.

When the indication light goes out the wok is ready for use.

NOTE : when using the wok for the first time we recommend to apply a bit of

vegetable oil on the non stick coating on the inside of the wok, use kitchen gloves and a paper towel pay attention so you don't get burned.

CLEANING

Turn off the temperature dial completely and remove the plug from the socket. Let the appliance cool down.

Remove the thermostat plug from the wok. Clean it with a damp cloth. DO NOT immerse into water.

You can detach the wok pan from the base. Remove the screw at the bottom of the unit. Now you can remove the wok pan from the base.

The wok pan, grills and lid can be cleaned in the dishwasher or in warm water with some mild detergent.

Never immerse the base into water. Clean it with a damp cloth, if necessary with some mild detergent.

ATTENTION

Never immerse the plug or thermostat into water or any other liquid.

Be very careful when the wok pan is filled with oil or any liquids. Don't move the unit when in use and always let the unit cool before removing oil or other liquids. When baking and broiling you should not let water come in contact with hot oil. This could splatter or foam.

RECIPIES

The below recipes are just for your info. The possibilities of the wok have no limits. In the book store you can find many cook books with recipes for the wok, but to get you started, we provide you with some recipes. Bon appetit!

TOMATO SOUP WITH BEEF AND BAIL

Ingredients :

250g beef

500g tomatoes

2 cloves of garlic

1 leak

10 leaves of basil

1 table spoon of oil

a dash of rice wine or sherry

pepper and salt

Preparation :

Slice up the meat into small pieces. Peal the tomatoes and remove the seeds. Chop the cloves of garlic. Wash the leak and slice into rings. Also slice up the basil into small

pieces.

Heat up the wok.

When the wok is hot, bake the beef for one minute in the oil. Add the tomatoes and the garlic, so they can also bake.

Add 1 litre of water and let is stew for 15 minutes.

After 15 minutes add the leak rings and let them cook for 1 minutes.

Spice up the soup with a dash of rice win or sherry, basil pepper and salt.

CHICKEN WITH VEGETABLES (FOR 2 PERSONS)

Ingredients :

250g chicken filet (sliced up into cubes)

12 onion cut up fine

1/2 red pepper into slices

150g broccoli

150g mushroom slices

1 table spoon of oil

rice wine or sherry

if preferred a bit of garlic

Preparation :

Turn the wok on to a high temperature and let it heat up.

When the wok is hot add the oil.

As soon as the oil becomes hot add the chicken.

Let the chicken bake for 5 minutes and then remove the chicken.

Now do the same with the vegetables and add a bit of rice wine or sherry.

After 5 minutes add the chicken and let everything bake shortly.

Tip : marinade lovers can of course marinate the chicken before baking it.

CHICKEN WITH GREEN PEPPER

Ingredients :

1 hole chicken cut into pieces

5 red onions

5 tomatoes

1 small courgette

1 teaspoon of green pepper berries

flour

4 dl vegetable broth

5 tablespoons olive oil

pepper and salt

Preparation :

Slice the courgette in small long strings with a potato peeler.

Let the sliced onions bake for 5 minutes in the oil in the wok.

Spice up the chicken with pepper and salt and powder with flour.

Remove the onions from the woken bake the chicken.

Add the onions again as well as the sliced up tomatoes and the strings of courgette, let it bake for a short moment.

Add the vegetable broth and let it stew for 15 minutes with the lid on the wok.

Crush the green pepper berries and let the stew for the last 5 minutes.

BAKED SAVOY WITH BEACON AND CREAM

Ingredients :

150g smoked beacon

1 onion

1 savoy

2 tablespoons of oil

1,5 dl chicken broth

2 dl cream

pepper and salt

2 tablespoons of sesame seeds

Preparation :

Slice the onion, wash the savoy and slice it into pieces.

Heat up the oil in the wok.

When the oil is hot, stir-fry the beacon in the wok.

Add the onion and stir-fry until it colours.

Add the sliced up savoy and stir-fry for about 5 minutes.

Add the sesame seeds at the end.

Now add the chicken broth and spice it up with salt and pepper. Let it stew for 5 minutes with the lid on wok.

To finish off add the cream and let it cook for a moment longer.
