ABOUT THE HEADPHONES
DESIGN
The main focus in developing the TMA-1 has been to produce a design that on the one hand is an icon of headphones and on the other hand works and looks like a tool for the user. This approach involved stripping out as much as possible whilst exaggerating the details that are necessary to make the design work both technically and visually. There is a central DNA which controls and influences every aspect of the design ensuring that the different elements of the headphones combine perfectly to enhance the final product. No nonsense and straight up.
WHY TMA-1?
The name TMA-1 is taken from Stanley Kubrick's science fiction movie '2001: A Space Odyssey'. TMA-1 (Tycho Magnetic Anomaly-1) refers to the apparent magnetic irregularity found at the Tycho crater on the Moon's surface by American astronauts. A black Monolith buried 40 feet under the lunar surface causes the anomaly.
In the background to the story in the book, an ancient and unseen alien race uses mechanisms with the appearance of large crystal Monoliths to investigate worlds all across the galaxy and, if possible, to encourage the development of intelligent life. The monoliths are extremely long-lived and reliable machines and resist destructive testing beyond the theoretical limits of material strength. We thought this name was fitting for our rugged, all black DJ headphone.
TESTERS
A very important part of the TMA-1 development is the thorough integration of DJs in testing and modifying the product.

WEARING
THE
HEADPHONES
PROTECTING YOUR HEARING
Set the volume to low before you place the headphones on your ears. Do not listen at high volume levels as it can lead to permanent hearing loss. Do not increase the volume once a comfortable level has been selected. Your ears will adapt as you continue to listen and if you increase the volume level, you may be causing damage to your ears without feeling discomfort.
ADJUSTING THE FIT OF THE HEADPHONES Place the headphones and adjust the earcup to the required fit.
INTERCHANGEABLEEARPADS
The earpads are interchangeable. For earpads exchange see fig 02-04.

WARRANTY
AIAIAI ApS warrants this product against defects in material or workmanship for a period of 1 year from the date of original purchase from an authorized AIAIAI distributor or reseller.
AIAIAI will repair or replace the defective product at its discretion if returned within the warranty period to our service facility.
This warranty is in lieu of all other warranties, expressed or implied, including, but not limited to, any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
Hearing Components shall have no liability of any kind for any direct, indirect, incidental or consequential damages or expenses that arise from the use of this product.
We don't cover normal wear and tear or blown speakers, cut cords, bent jacks, torn headbands, loss or theft. You will void your warranty if you disassemble your headphones or dip them in water. If you believe this product is defective within the warranty period, repack the unit and return it postage prepaid to address below or contact us and we'll do what we can to resolve the problem.
