2. First time use

Before first time use clean all parts of the Multi-Cutter. Take care to observe the instructions provided under paragraph 3 "Cleaning and storage".

2.1. Chopping fruit and vegetables

Place the receptacle on a dry and stable worktop. Remove the blade guard from the rotor. Be careful to avoid injury from the sharp blades.

For shredding sticky, lightweight ingredients fix the upward deflector to the underside of the rotor. The upward deflector must point in an upward direction. When filling the bowl, the blades should be aligned with the downward deflector so that they are positioned directly above each other to provide space for a maximum load of ingredients.

Large fruit or vegetables should be halved or quartered before processing in the cutting apparatus so as not to block the blades.

Place the lid onto the bowl and make sure that the six edges of the rotor correctly fi t into position. Do not apply force when doing this.

The Multi-Cutter is now ready for use.

Place one hand onto the top of the Multi-Cutter, grip it well and use the other hand to operate the mechanism by pulling on the black hand grip. The first pull should be quick and powerful. Do not relax your hold on the grip when it is in its extended position, instead keep hold of it while the automatic mechanism returns it to its original position.

The faster the tug on the grip of the Multi-Cutter the smaller and more effectively the ingredients are shredded.

Cutting results

(depending on type of vegetable or fruit):

5 - 6 tugs: coarse to medium fine shredding

7 - 12 tugs: medium fi ne shredding

13 - 20 tugs: fi ne to extra fi ne shredding

Positioning the upward defl ector

When shredding sticky, lightweight ingredients such as parsley or dried herbs, use of the upward defl ector under the rotor blades is recommended. This ensures that the items are scooped up from the base and fed into the cutting area of the blades.

The upward defl ector is clipped into position on the underside of the rotor. There is only one position in the base of the rotor where it fi ts. When correctly mounted the upward defl ector points upward and is aligned with the down- ward defl ector above.

2.2. Spinning herbs dry

Replace the rotor blades with the herb basket for spinning herbs dry. In this case the pull mechanism should be operated slowly and more carefully so that herbs are neither crushed nor pressed into the apertures of the herb basket by centrifugal force.

2.3. Stirring and mixing sauces, soups and dressings

By changing from the rotor blades to the mixer inset, you'll be able to turn out delicious sauces, soups, creams, dips and dressings in seconds. The mixer inset is designed for stirring or whisking liquids and semi-liquid consistencies.

2.4. Storing and keeping things fresh

With the storage lid and its ventilation valve, chopped vegetables, fresh herbs or prepared sauces can be stored under perfect conditions and kept fresh in a refrigerator.

3. Cleaning and storage

All components except for the lid (with pull mechanism) and the rotor blades are dishwasher safe. We'd like to point out that the storage lid may slightly distort if put into a dishwasher. The lid with its pull mechanism should not be cleaned in a dishwasher or be submerged in washing up water. A wipe with a damp cloth usually suffi ces to clean the underside of the lid. If by any chance water seeps in, there is an aperture in the lid underside which can be opened using a coin or screw-driver. Once the water has been removed, make sure the lid is completely dry before re-assembling it.

Note: When cleaning the rotor blades absolute caution is necessary since the blades are extremely sharp. In order to prevent risk of injury, this component should not be submerged in the sink together with other utensils. A RÖSLE Washing-up Brush is the perfect tool for cleaning it. Caution is also needed when drying.

The rotor should always be stored in its protective blade guard. When applying the guard, be careful to avoid injury on the sharp blades.

4. General Safety Guidelines

The Multi-Cutter must not be used as a toy and should be handled with caution. Small components could be accidentally swallowed by children so please keep the appliance safely out of their reach.

→ The blades on the rotor are extremely sharp so caution is advised at all times when handling or cleaning the utensil.
→ The rotor should always be stored in its protective guard.
→ When operating the pull mechanism, always hold the lid firmly with one hand.
→ Keep the lid in position while the rotor is in action.
