How to connect the RIG 800HS headset to a PS4?

Plug the provided adapter into the PS4's USB port, then turn on the headset. Go to Settings > Devices > Audio Devices and select Plantronics RIG800XX as output. For PS4 Slim, set Output to Headphones to 'All Audio'.

How to charge the RIG 800HS headset?

Use the included USB cable to connect the headset to a power source (PC, wall adapter). The red light turns on during charging and turns off when the battery is full (approx. 4 h 30).

How to change the equalization mode?

Press the Equalization button once on the ear cup. You will hear tones indicating the mode: 1 tone = Pure, 2 tones = Seismic (bass), 3 tones = Intense (details), 4 tones = Vocal.

How to mute the headset microphone?

Lift the microphone boom fully up. This mutes the mic. To unmute, lower the boom to normal position.

What is the microphone control level (mic monitor)?

Hold down the Privacy button to cycle through levels: 1 tone = Off, 2 tones = Low, 3 tones = High. This allows you to hear your own voice in the headset.

Is the RIG 800HS headset compatible with Xbox One?

Yes, plug the adapter into the Xbox One, then go to Display & sound > Kinect & devices > Device options > Assign to configure it.

How to adjust the volume on the headset?

Use the two buttons on the left ear cup: the top button adjusts the game/chat mix, the bottom button controls the main volume.

What to do if the headset does not connect?

Check that the adapter is properly plugged in and the headset is turned on. Make sure the console/PC recognizes the device. If necessary, re-pair the adapter to the headset (see manual).

Is the headband adjustable?

Yes, the ear cups clip onto the headband in three positions (small, medium, large). To change, press on the ear cup to detach and reposition it.

How to clean the RIG 800HS headset?

Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the surfaces. Never use liquids or chemicals. Store the headset in a dry place.

Setup and basics

Your adapter comes pre-paired to your headset. After you adjust and charge your headset and configure your adapter, power on your headset and it's ready to go.

Fit Your headset components easily snap into the headset frame to configure the best fit and sound.

The headband adjusts to three sizes (small, medium, large) by moving the earcups. To remove an earcup, press the earcup to detach it from the headband.

1 Connect your adapter to your system.

Charge

It takes up to 4.5 hours to fully charge your headphones. The headset LED is red while charging and turns off when complete.

Adjust volume

1 To increase or decrease the game and chat volume, adjust the top headset dial.
2 To increase or decrease the master volume, adjust the bottom headset dial.

IMPORTANT For the PS4 (slim version), set the top headset dial in the middle; game and chat remain balanced. Use the bottom headset dial to increase or decrease the master volume.

Lift the boom to a full stop to mute the microphone.
