How to use the DO9177PZ pizza oven for the first time?

This appliance has a two year warranty period. During this period the manufacturer is responsible for any failures that are the direct result of construction failure. When these failures occur the appliance will be repaired or replaced if necessary. The warranty will not be valid when the damage to the appliance is caused by wrong use, not following the instructions or repairs executed by a third party. The guarantee is issued with the original till receipt. All parts, which are subject to wear, are excluded from the warranty.

If your device breaks down within the 2-year warranty period, you can return the device together with your receipt to the shop where you purchased it.

The guarantee on accessories and components that are liable to wear-and-tear is only 6 months.

The guarantee and responsibility of the supplier and manufacturer lapse automatically in the following cases:

· If the instructions in this manual have not been followed.
· In case of incorrect connection, e.g., electrical voltage that is too high.
· In case of incorrect, rough or abnormal use.
· In case of insufficient or incorrect maintenance.
- In case of repairs or alterations to the device by the consumer or non-authorised third parties.
- If the customer used parts or accessories that are not recommended or provided by the supplier / manufacturer.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

• This appliance may be used by children from the age of 16 and up, and also by persons with a physical or sensory limitation, as well as mentally limited persons or persons with a lack of experience and knowledge. But only on the condition that these persons have received the necessary instructions on how to use this appliance in a safe way and know the dangers that can occur by using this appliance.
• Children cannot be allowed to play with the appliance.
• Maintenance and cleaning of the appliance may not be done by children, unless they are older than 16 years old and are under supervision. Keep the appliance out of reach of children younger than 16 years old.
• This appliance is suitable to be used in a household environment and in similar surroundings such as:

· Kitchen for personnel of shops, offices or other similar professional surroundings

· Hotel or motel rooms and other surroundings with a residential character
- Guest rooms or similar

- Attention: This appliance cannot be used with an external timer or a separate remote control.

The appliance can become hot during use. Keep the power cord away from hot parts and don't cover the appliance.

POWER CORD

• A short power-supply cord is provided to reduce the hazards resulting from entanglement or tripping over a long cord.
• An extension cord may be used with care; however, be sure the marked electrical rating is equal to or greater than the rating of this appliance. The extension cord should be positioned such that it does not drape over the counter or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over. Use only 3-wire extension cord with 3-blade grounding plug. The electrical rating of this appliance is listed on the bottom panel of the unit.

BEFORE THE FIRST USE

• Unpack your appliance and remove all of the packaging materials. Wipe the exterior with a clean, damp cloth. Wipe dry before use. Never use harsh or abrasive cleaners.
• When using the appliance for the first time there may be a slight smell and light smoke from the cooking plates. This is normal.

USE

1. Lightly grease the inside of the baking sheets or use baking paper.
2. Put the plug in the mains. The power indicator light will light up. This light will stay on as long as the plug is in the mains.
3. Allow the appliance to heat up. Once the temperature has been reached, the ready indicator light will light up.
   This light will turn on and off at different times as the appliance attempts to maintain the correct temperature.
4. Note: the housing heats up during use. Use oven mitts when opening and closing the lid. Place the food on the bottom baking sheet. Make sure that your dish is no longer than 30.5 cm (the diameter of the baking sheets). Close the lid.
5. Allow your dish to bake. The cooking time depends on the food. Baking a pizza takes on average between 10 and 25 minutes. Fresh pizzas brown quicker than deep-freeze pizzas. A pizza with a thin bottom takes less long than a pizza with a thicker bottom. You can always open the lid while cooking to see whether your dish is ready.
6. Remove the plug from the outlet and take your dish out of the appliance. Do not use any metal objects for this, as they may damage the non-stick coating.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

· Always unplug the appliance from the socket before cleaning.
- Clean the outside and the baking sheets with a damp clean cloth. Dry the appliance off well. Never use aggressive or abrasive cleaning agents.
· Never submerge the appliance, the electric cord or the plug into water or another liquid.
