The present manual is an integral part of the appliance and must be carefully read before using it as it gives important indications with regard to safety of
installation, use and maintenance. Therefore preserve with care.
- Make sure the appliance is in good condition after you have removed the packing. In case of doubt do not use it and contact an assistance centre authorised by TERMOZETA.
- Do not leave the packaging materials (plastic bags, polystyrene foam, nails, etc..) within reach of children or persons with limited mental faculties as they are potential sources of danger.
- The electrical safety of this appliance is ensured only if it is correctly connected to an effective earthing system in compliance with the existing electrical safety standards. TERMOZETA shall not be held responsible for any damage caused by the lack of an earthing system.
- Before connecting the plug to the outlet check that the working voltage of the appliance corresponds to the one in your house. If in doubt, contact professionally qualified staff.
- Use of adaptors, multiple outlets and extension leads is not advisable. In case of need use exclusively approved appliances in conformity with the current safety regulations while making sure that they are compatible with the appliance power. If in doubt, contact professionally qualified staff.
- Any installation which doesn’t comply with what is specified can endanger your safety and the warranty expires.
TERMOZETA cannot be considered responsible for any damage to persons, animals or things caused by the incorrect installation or as
a result of an illegitimate, mistaken or unreasonable use.
- The appliance is only to be used for domestic purposes for preparing toast and toasting slices of bread.

For safety reasons pay attention and:

not to use the appliance with bare feet or with wet hands or feet.
- not to use the appliance away from home
- not to leave the appliance exposed to atmospheric agents (sun, rain, etc..)
- never to tug the power cord or the appliance itself to unplug from the outlet
- not to leave the appliance plugged into the main power supply unattended
- never to submerge the appliance in water or in other liquids.
- The appliance can be used by children over the age of 8 and by people with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience or knowledge, only if they are supervised or instructed on how to use the appliance in safe conditions, and subject to their understanding of the relevant risks. Children must not play with the appliance. The appliance must not be cleaned or serviced by children under the age of 8 without the supervision of an adult.
- Keep the power cord out of the reach of children under the age of 8.
- Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

The power cord of the appliance should never be replaced by the user himself. In case of necessity contact an assistance centre authorised by TERMOZETA or professionally qualified staff.

In case of failure and/or malfunctioning of the appliance, turn it off and do not tamper with it. For any repairs contact an assistance centre authorised by TERMOZETA and ask for the use of original spare parts.
- At the end of the life cycle of the appliance, put it out of service by cutting the power cord after disconnecting the plug from the outlet. For the disposal of the appliance follow the regulations which are valid in your place of residence.
- This appliance is not designed to be operated with a timer or separate remote control system.

During normal operation, pay attention to the outer e of the appliance as it reaches high temperatures

Warning!
Do not use the toaster under or near curtains or other easily inflammable materials since the bread may burn. Therefore, for safety purposes do not leave the appliance unattended during operation.
SPECIFIC WARNINGS
Smoke may be emitted from the appliance when it is used for the first time:
this is normal and is due to the residual protective elements present in the internal parts and on the resistances of the appliance. This should disappear with successive use.
Always keep the power supply cable away from the hot parts when the appliance is running.
Be very careful not to touch the hot parts of the appliance when in use.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
FIRST-TIME USE
Wash and dry the sandwich cages (3) designed to come into contact with food (see the cleaning instructions).
- Place the appliance on a stable and heat resistant surface.
- Completely unwind the power supply cable, insert the plug into the power point.
- Turn the timer knob to start the toaster. Wait for approximately two minutes to allow the appliance to reach the best temperature.
- Place the toast or bread slices into the tongs and insert into the cooking slot.
- Set the timer to the desired toasting cycle:
Position 1 - 2 = light toasting
Position 3 - 4 = medium toasting
Position 5 - 4 = dark toasting
- The appliance automatically carries out the toasting cycle set.
- The positions mentioned above are indicative, therefore the perfect cooking or toasting level depends on the freshness and thickness of the bread slices; check the toasting point occasionally by removing the tongs and taking care not to touch the hot parts of the appliance.
- When the timer knob returns to the zero position the appliance sounds and automatically shuts off. To being a new cooking cycle rotate the timer knob once again.
- The cooking time can be increased at any time by rotating the timer. If it is necessary to turn the toaster off before the set time has elapsed, rotate the timer knob to the zero position.
• After use, disconnect the plug from the power point.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
- Always disconnect the plug from the power point and allow the appliance to cool down before carrying out any cleaning operations.
- The outside parts should only be cleaned with a damp cloth: never submerge the appliance in water or other liquids. Do not use chemical or abrasive products.
- Do not use knives or pointy instruments to remove any crumbs deposited at the bottom since it may damage the appliance.
- Do not wash the tongs in a dishwasher, but clean them with water and dishwashing detergent. Make sure they are thoroughly dry before replacing them in the appliance.
- To remove the crumbs deposited on the bottom, pull out the tray (4) and wash with water and dish detergent. Before replacing the tray into the slot, make sure it is completely dry.
INFORMATION FOR USERS
In accordance with European Directives 2011/65/CE, 2002/96/CE and 2003/108/CE on the restriction of the use of dangerous substances in electric and electronic equipment as well as their waste disposal.
- The barred symbol of the rubbish bin shown on the equipment indicates that, at the end of its useful life, the product must be collected separately from other waste.
- Therefore, any products that have reached the end of their useful life must be given to waste disposal centres specialising in separate collection of waste electrical and electronic equipment, or given back to the retailer at the time of purchasing new similar equipment, on a one for one basis.
- The adequate separate collection for the subsequent start-up of the equipment sent to be recycled, treated and disposal of in an environmentally compatible way contributes to preventing possible negative effects on the environment and health and optimises the recycling and reuse of components making up the apparatus.
- Abusive disposal of the product by the user involves application of the administrative sanctions according to the laws in force.
