How to quickly adjust the volume?

Turn the rotary knob to the desired level. For a quick decrease, press the MUTE button (the volume drops by 20 dB).

How to memorize my favorite radio stations?

Select the desired station, then press and hold one of the preset buttons (1 to 6) for at least 2 seconds. You can memorize up to 30 stations (6 per band FM1, FM2, FM3, MW, LW).

Can I play MP3 files on this device?

Yes, this car stereo plays MP3, WMA and AAC files burned on CD-R or CD-RW. Make sure the disc is finalized and the files comply with the supported formats (bitrate 8-320 kbps, sampling rate 8-48 kHz).

How to connect my iPod to the car stereo?

Use the ALPINE FULL SPEED™ (KCE-422i) connection cable (sold separately). Plug it into the direct iPod connector at the back of the unit and set the AUX+ mode to OFF in the SETUP menu.

What to do if the front panel does not open?

Make sure the rotary knob is pressed before pressing OPEN. If the panel is stuck, check that no object is obstructing and that the unit is properly powered. You can also reset the unit with the RESET switch.

How to activate traffic information (TA)?

Press BAND/TA for at least 2 seconds until the TA indicator lights up. Then select a station that broadcasts traffic information (TP indicator on). Traffic announcements automatically interrupt current playback.

Why is my CD not playing?

Check that the disc is inserted printed side up. If the ERROR message appears, clean the disc or check that it is not scratched. For CD-R/RW, ensure they are finalized. If the problem persists, press the RESET switch.

How to adjust the subwoofer?

In the SETUP menu, activate SUBW. ON. Then, in normal mode, press AUDIO/RTN several times until SUBW appears, then turn the rotary knob to adjust the level (0 to +15). You can also choose SUBW. SYS 1 or SYS 2 according to your preferences.

The display is too bright at night, how to reduce it?

Set the DIMMER function to AUTO in the SETUP menu. This automatically reduces brightness when the vehicle's headlights are on. You can also adjust the contrast (setting from -5 to +3) for better visibility.

What to do if the unit does not turn on?

First check the fuse (10A) and replace it if necessary. Make sure the red power wire (ignition) and the yellow battery wire are correctly connected. If everything is in order, press the RESET switch with a ballpoint pen.
