How do I connect my phone via Bluetooth to the Marshall Stanmore?

Turn on the speaker, select Bluetooth as source by holding the SOURCE/WAKE button until the Bluetooth LED lights up. Enable Bluetooth on your phone, then press the PAIR button. The LED blinks rapidly in red. On your phone, select 'Stanmore' from the list. The LED becomes solid: the connection is established.

How do I change the audio source?

Briefly press the SOURCE/WAKE button to cycle through sources in order: Bluetooth, optical, input 1 (3.5 mm), input 2 (RCA). The corresponding LED lights up to indicate the active source.

What to do if the sound is distorted?

Lower the volume on the speaker and/or source. Ensure the audio file is not of poor quality. Reduce bass or treble boost if set too high.

How do I use the optical input?

Connect an optical cable (not supplied) from the source (TV, Apple TV...) to the OPTICAL input at the back of the speaker. Select the optical source by pressing SOURCE/WAKE. Note: the optical input only works with a stereo PCM signal.

Why doesn't the speaker turn on?

Check that the power cord is properly connected to the jack at the back of the speaker and to a working wall outlet. The on/off switch located on top of the unit must be in the 'ON' position.

What is the difference between the energy-saving and standard standby modes?

In energy-saving mode, the speaker consumes 0.43 W and does not wake up automatically: you need to press the WAKE button to activate it. In standard mode (8.7 W), it wakes up automatically as soon as an audio signal is detected on the last used source.
