Frequently Asked Questions - IR5075 CANON

How do I turn on the machine?
Make sure the power cord is plugged in, then set the main switch to "I". The power indicator lights up. Wait about 30 seconds for the machine to be ready.
What should I do if there is a paper jam?
Check the touch screen which indicates the jam location. Open the relevant covers (feeder, machine or modules) and gently remove the jammed paper. Refer to chapter 8 of the guide for detailed procedures.
How do I replace the toner cartridge?
Open the toner supply port cover (left side of the machine). Pull the empty cartridge towards you to remove it. Insert the new cartridge until it snaps into place. Close the cover.
How do I clean the exposure glass?
Use a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth (clean water) to clean the glass and the inner surface of the feeder. Do not use flammable products such as alcohol or thinner.
What should I do if the error indicator remains on?
A steady red error light indicates a problem requiring service by an authorized Canon technician. If the light is flashing, follow the instructions on the touch screen to resolve the issue.
How do I test the circuit breaker periodically?
Once a month, with the machine turned off, use the tip of a pen to press the test button (left side). The circuit breaker lever should switch to Off. Then set it back to On and fill in the check sheet.
Can I use custom size paper?
Yes, in the system administrator settings (chapter 6), you can register irregular paper types. Use the feed tray for non-standard sizes.
How do I cancel a current print job?
Press the "Stop" key on the control panel, or use the System Monitor screen to select the job and cancel it. See chapter 5 of the guide.
The machine displays "Memory full". What should I do?
Reduce the number of pages or the resolution of the current job. You can also enable Energy Saving mode to free up resources. If the problem persists, contact your authorized dealer.
How do I set the date and time?
Access the system administrator settings (chapter 6) using the administrator code. Select "Date and Time" to set the clock manually or via the network.
