Use SD, SDHC or SDXC memory cards (UHS-I compatible). It is recommended to format the card in the camera before first use.

How to transfer photos to a smartphone?

Download the Canon Camera Connect app. Activate Wi-Fi on the camera via the Wi-Fi button, then connect to the camera's network from the smartphone. The app will guide you through the transfer.

What is the battery life?

Battery life is approximately 265 shots per charge (depending on usage conditions). For videos, allow about 45 minutes of continuous recording.

How to do manual focus?

Press the MF button (or select the option in the menu) to switch to manual focus. Use the adjustment ring around the lens to adjust sharpness. A distance indicator appears on the screen.

Can you record videos in 4K?

No, the Canon G7X MII records in Full HD (1920x1080) up to 60 fps. It also offers slow motion (120 fps) and time-lapse modes.

How to use panning mode?

Select the Panning mode (v icon) on the dial. Follow the moving subject with the camera while pressing the shutter button halfway then fully. Continue the movement after the shot.

What to do if the screen stays black or does not turn on?

Check that the battery is charged and properly inserted. If the screen does not respond, try removing and reinserting the battery. If the issue persists, contact Canon support.

How to disable the flash?
