How to turn on the camera?

Press the ON/OFF button on top of the camera. The screen lights up and the lens extends.

What type of memory card to use?

The Canon DIGITAL IXUS IIS accepts SD (Secure Digital) and MMC (MultiMediaCard) cards.

How to recharge the battery?

Use the included CB-2LV charger. Insert the NB-4L battery into the charger and plug it into a power outlet. The light turns off when charging is complete.

How to set the photo resolution?

In Playback mode, press the MENU button, go to the Settings tab, then choose Resolution. Select from options: L (2048x1536), M1 (1600x1200), M2 (1024x768), or S (640x480).

How to delete photos?

In Playback mode, display the photo to delete, then press the Erase (trash) button. Confirm with OK.

How to use the zoom?

Use the Zoom lever around the shutter button. Push right to zoom in (telephoto) and left to zoom out (wide-angle).

How to activate the flash?

Press the Flash (lightning) button to cycle through modes: Auto, Red-eye reduction, Slow sync, Off. The setting is displayed on the screen.

How to transfer photos to a computer?

Connect the camera to the computer with the IFC-400PCU USB cable. The computer recognizes the camera as a removable drive. Copy the files from the DCIM folder.

What to do if the screen displays 'Memory card locked'?

Check the small switch on the side of the SD card. If it is in the LOCK position (down), slide it up to unlock the card.

How to clean the lens?

Use a soft, dry cloth specifically designed for optics. Avoid any solvents or liquid cleaners. Gently blow to remove dust before wiping.
