PRODUCT OVERVIEW

BEFORE INSTALLING THE APPLIANCE
Before connecting your appliance to the power supply, check that the voltage stated on the rating label of your appliance corresponds to the voltage in your home. A different voltage could damage the appliance.
The plug is the only way to unplug the appliance and should therefore be accessible at all times. To turn off main power to the appliance, turn it off and then detach the plug from the outlet.
The appliance must be grounded. The manufacturer is not responsible for damages that may occur as a result of usage without grounding.

INSTALLATION
Install the appliance in a dry, well-ventilated room. The installation location should neither be exposed to direct sunlight nor near a heat source, e.g. a cooker, radiator, etc.
To ensure adequate ventilation for the appliance, allow 9cm of space between the back of the freezer and the wall and at least 20cm of space on its two sides, a height of over 20cm from its top.
Adjust the feet to keep the freezer level.

AMBIENT TEMPERATUE
This appliance is designed to operate in ambient temperature between 16^ and 38^ . If these temperatures are exceeded, i.e. colder or warmer, the appliance will not operate correctly. If the ambient temperatures are exceeded for long periods, the temperature in the freezer will rise above -18^ and food spoilage may occur.

POWER FAILURE
If there is a power failure during the storage of frozen foods, keep the door closed.
Frozen food should not be affected if the power failure lasts for less than 35 hours.
Do not refreeze frozen foods that have thawed completely. The food may be dangerous to eat.

USING YOUR FREEZER

Preparing food for freezing

WARNING :
Freezing does not sterilise. It is therefore important to observe some simple hygiene rules when preparing your food for freezing: wash your hands before you touch the food and clean the kitchen tools you have just used before using them again.
Only freeze fresh, good quality food. Refer to the table "Food Freezing Guide" to know which products you can freeze and how long you can keep them.
Blanch fruit and vegetables before freezing them to preserve their colour, smell, taste and vitamins: plunge them in boiling water for a few moments.
Aubergines, peppers, zucchini and asparagus do not require blanching.
Divide the food you wish to freeze into small portions corresponding to one meal each. Small portions freeze quicker.
Pack the food hermetically so that they do not lose their flavour or dry up. Use plastic bags, polyethylene film, aluminium foil or special freezer containers for packing the food.
If you are using plastic bags, compress them to eliminate the air before sealing them hermetically.
Storage Advice
Store fresh food in airtight boxes or wrap in bags or foil which is suitable for freezing.
Do not allow frozen food into direct contact with food to be frozen.
Pre frozen food must be placed in the freezer as quickly as possible after purchasing.
To prevent frost damage to fresh vegetables or fruits they must be processed appropriately before being placed into the freezer.
Food Freezing Guide
| Food | Storage time |
| Bacon, casseroles, milk | 1 month |
| Bread, ice cream, sausages, pies, prepared shellfish, oily fish | 2 months |
| Non-oily fish, shell fish, pizza, scones and muffins | 3 months |
| Ham, cakes, biscuits, beef and lamb chops, poultry pieces | 4 months |
| Butter, vegetables (blanched), eggs whole and yolks, cooked crayfish, minced meat (raw), pork (raw) | 6 months |
| Fruit (dry or in syrup), egg whites, beef (raw), whole chicken, lamb (raw), fruit cakes | 12 months |
Never forget:
-
When you freeze fresh foods with a 'use by /best before/best by/' date, you must freeze them before the expiry of this date.
-
Check that the food was not already frozen. Indeed, frozen food that has thawed completely must not be refrozen.
Once defrosted, food should be consumed quickly.

Arranging food in your freezer
Do not put fresh food next to food that has already been frozen to avoid causing the frozen food to warm up.

Adjusting the temperature

Plug in the freezer and the POWER indicator light will illuminate, indicating that the freezer is properly connected to electrical power.
When the compressor starts running, the OPERATE indicator light will illuminate.
Adjust the temperature control knob to the desired position from "1" (cold) to "7" (coldest).
The first time your turn the freezer on, set the temperature control knob to "7" and run for at least 2 hours before putting frozen foods inside.
The temperature control knob has 7 temperature settings and a 0 setting (OFF).
"1" is the cold setting and "7" is the coldest setting.
The setting of "4" is recommended for normal usage.
To stop cooling the freezer, turn the temperature control knob to "0". The OPERATE indicator light will go out. Turning the temperature control to the "0" setting position stops the cooling cycle but does not shut off the power of the freezer.

Making ice cubes
Fill the ice cube tray (not supplied) with 3/4 full of drinking water and place in the freezer.
If the ice cube tray is stuck to the freezer, loosen with a blunt tool only.
To loosen the ice cubes, twist the ice cube tray slightly or hold briefly under flowing water.

Operating noises
Normal noises
Motors are running.
Refrigerant is flowing through the tubing.

Moving your freezer
Unplug the freezer.
- Remove all the food.
- Securely tape down all loose items inside your freezer.
- Tape the doors shut.
- Be sure the freezer stays in the upright position during transportation.

Energy saving tips
- The freezer should be located in the coolest area of the room, away from heat producing appliances or heating ducts, and out of the direct sunlight.
- Let hot foods cool to room temperature before placing in the freezer. Overloading the freezer forces the compressor to run longer. Foods that freeze too slowly may lose quality, or spoil.
- Be sure to wrap foods properly, and wipe containers dry before placing them
in the freezer. This cuts down on frost build-up inside the freezer.
- Freezer storage bin should not be lined with aluminum foil, wax paper, or paper toweling. Liners interfere with cold air circulation, making the freezer less efficient.
- Organize and label food to reduce door openings and extended searches. Remove as many items as needed at one time, and close the door as soon as possible.

DEFROSTING
It is recommended that the freezer is defrosted periodically or when the thickness of the frost is more than 3mm .
- Unplug the appliance from the mains supply.
- Open the door and remove all the frozen food and wrap in thick blankets on layers of paper to keep them cold.
-
Remove the drain plug located at the bottom inside the freezer and then remove the drain cover at the front of the freezer. Collect all defrost water on a tray. Use a scraper to remove ice.
-
Important! Never use sharp metal tools to scrape off frost as you could damage the appliance.
-
After defrosting is finished, clean the inside of the appliance.
- Refit the drain plug and cover in place and plug the appliance back to the mains socket.
- Place the food back into the freezer and set the temperature to the desired setting.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
- Upon installation of your new appliance, it is recommended to clean it thoroughly.
- Turn the temperature control to "0", unplug the freezer, remove the food and storage basket.
- Wash the inside with a damp cloth soaked in lukewarm water and baking soda solution.
- Wash the storage basket with a damp cloth in warm soapy water. Rinse thoroughly.
- Be sure to keep the door gasket (seal) clean to keep the appliance run efficiently.
- Clean the outside of the freezer with a slightly damp cloth.
- Dry the interior and exterior with a soft cloth.
- It is recommended to clean the freezer each time it is defrosted to help keep the freezer run efficiently.

TROUBLESHOOTING
If you experience a problem with your appliance or are concerned that the appliance is not functioning correctly, you can carry out some easy checks according to below table before calling for service.
Warning!
Do not try to repair the appliance yourself. If the problem persists after you have made the checks mentioned below, contact a qualified electrician, authorized service engineer or the store where you purchased the product.
| Problem | Solution |
| Freezer is not operating. | Check that the freezer is plugged into the mains socket properly and that the outlet is switched on. Try adjusting the temperature control knob to a colder position. |
| Freezer is noisy. | Check that the freezer is placed on a level surface. |
| Inadequate refrigeration | Turn the temperature control knob to a colder setting and allow several hours for the temperature to stabilize. Door is kept open too long or is opened too frequently. Warm air enters the freezer every time the door is opened. Open the door less often. Check that the door is closed completely. Ensure that the door gasket does not seal properly. A large amount of warm or hot food might have been stored recently. Wait until the freezer has reached its set temperature. |
| Condensation on the exterior and door seals of the freezer. | Condensation may condense on the exterior of the appliance and the door during hot and humid days or depending on the place of installation. This occurs when the humidity is high and water particles on the cold surfaces. This is normal. Wipe away condensation with a dry cloth. |
| The door will not close properly. | Check that the freezer is on a level surface. Check that the gasket is not dirty. Check that the storage basket is in position. |
