How to clear a paper jam?

Locate the jam area on the screen or indicator. Open the indicated doors, gently remove the jammed paper following the extraction direction. For jams in the trays, remove the tray, then remove the paper. See the Clear Jams chapter of the guide for more details.

How to replace a toner cartridge?

Open the front door. Pull the old cartridge outward to remove it. Unpack the new cartridge, insert it into the corresponding slot (black, cyan, magenta, yellow) until it clicks. Close the door. The status message will update.

How to connect the printer to a wireless network?

Make sure an optional wireless network adapter is installed. From the control panel, go to Network/Ports > Network [x] > Network Setup > Wireless > Wireless Connection Setup. Choose Search for Networks to select your SSID, then enter the security key. You can also use Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) if your router supports it.

How to set a custom paper size (Universal)?

From the home screen, go to Paper Menu > Universal Setup. Select the unit of measurement (mm or inches), then set Portrait Width and Portrait Height as needed. Then assign this size to the desired tray via Paper Size/Type.

Why is printing light or poor quality?

Several possible causes: low toner level, full waste toner bottle, or incorrect intensity settings. Check consumable status in Status/Supplies. If necessary, replace the affected cartridge or the imaging kit. You can also adjust toner intensity in the print settings.

How to clear confidential data from the printer?

To clear volatile memory, turn off the printer and unplug it. To clear non-volatile memory, use Settings > Security > Erase Temporary Files/Data or perform a Factory Defaults restore. If a hard drive is installed, you can initiate a secure erase via Embedded Web Server.

From the home screen, press Settings > General Settings > Eco Mode. You can enable Quiet Mode (noise reduction), set Sleep Mode or Hibernate Mode, and schedule times via Power Schedules. These settings reduce consumption and noise.
