Frequently Asked Questions - KCM-7505 KIWI

How to use my KCM-7505 coffee maker for the first time?
Before first use, run 2 or 3 complete cycles with fresh water (no coffee) to eliminate any bad tastes. Let it cool for 5 minutes between cycles.
Why does my coffee taste bad?
This may be due to limescale buildup. Perform regular descaling with white vinegar or a suitable descaling product, then rinse thoroughly.
How to clean my coffee maker?
Wipe the exterior with a slightly damp cloth. Do not use abrasive products. The tank and carafe can be cleaned with warm water, but do not immerse them and do not put them in the dishwasher.
What to do if the coffee maker does not turn on?
Check that the plug is properly connected and that the red indicator light turns on when you press the on/off button. If the problem persists, contact an authorized service.
How does the anti-drip system work?
When you remove the carafe, the anti-drip system automatically activates to prevent coffee from dripping onto the heating plate. It deactivates when you replace the carafe.
Can I use ground coffee other than filter coffee?
Yes, use filter ground coffee. Adjust the amount to your taste.
How long does the coffee stay hot?
The heating plate keeps the coffee warm as long as the coffee maker is on. For safety, it automatically shuts off after a certain time.
What to do in case of overflow?
Do not fill the tank beyond the maximum level. Make sure the carafe is correctly positioned under the filter holder.
Can the carafe go in the microwave?
No, the carafe is made of glass and is not designed for microwave. Do not heat it directly.
How to descale my coffee maker?
Fill the tank with a mixture of water and white vinegar (or descaling solution), run a cycle, then rinse with several cycles of fresh water.
