10. CARE AND CLEANING

WARNING!
Refer to Safety chapters.
10.1 Notes on cleaning
- Clean the front of the appliance with a soft cloth with warm water and a cleaning agent.
- To clean metal surfaces, use a dedicated cleaning agent.
- Clean the appliance interior after each use. Fat accumulation or other food remains may result in a fire. The risk is higher for the grill pan.
- Clean stubborn dirt with a special oven cleaner.
- Clean all accessories after each use and let them dry. Use a soft cloth with warm water and a cleaning agent.
- If you have nonstick accessories, do not clean them using aggressive agents, sharp-edged objects or a dishwasher. It can cause damage to the nonstick coating.
10.2 Stainless steel or aluminium appliances

Clean the oven door with a damp cloth or sponge only. Dry it with a soft cloth. Do not use steel wool, acids or abrasive materials as they can damage the oven surface. Clean the oven control panel with the same precautions.
10.3 Cleaning the door gasket
- Regularly do a check of the door gasket. The door gasket is around the
frame of the oven cavity. Do not use the appliance if the door gasket is damaged. Contact an Authorised Service Centre.
- To clean the door gasket, refer to the general information about cleaning.
10.4 Catalysis

CAUTION!
Do not clean the catalytic surface with oven sprays, abrasive cleaning agents, soap or other cleaning agents. This will damage the catalytic surface.
Clean the inner glass of the oven door with warm water and a soft cloth.
Remove all accessories.
The walls and the top of the cavity are coated with catalytic enamel. It gathers fat and dirt which burns off at high temperatures without leaving a smell.
To support this self-cleaning process heat the empty appliance regularly.

Spots or discolouration of the catalytic surface have no effect on its catalytic properties.

During catalytic cleaning the oven light is on.
- Set the Catalysis function. Refer to "Oven functions". The display shows CATA and the duration of the cleaning procedure (1 hour). You cannot change the duration, but you can use the End function to delay the start of the cleaning procedure.
An acoustic signal sounds after the time ends. The appliance deactivates.
- Push a button to stop the acoustic signal.
- Clean the bottom of the appliance with a damp soft sponge.
To stop Catalysis before it finishes, turn the knob for the oven functions to the off position.
10.5 Cleaning reminder
As a reminder that catalytic cleaning is necessary, CATA flashes in the display for 10 seconds after each activation and deactivation of the appliance.
The cleaning reminder goes out:
after the end of the Catalysis function.
- if you press + and - at the same time.
10.6 Cleaning the oven door
The oven door has three glass panels. You can remove the oven door and the internal glass panels to clean them.
The oven door can close if you try to remove the glass panels before you remove the oven door.
CAUTION! Do not use

-
Hold the door trim (B) on the top edge of the door at the two sides and push inwards to release the clip seal.

- Pull the door trim to the front to remove it.
- Hold the door glass panels by their top edge and carefully pull them out one by one. Start from the top panel. Make sure the glass slides out of the supports completely.

- Clean the glass panels with water and soap. Dry the glass panels carefully.
When the cleaning is completed, install the glass panels and the oven door. Do the above steps in the opposite sequence.
Make sure that you put the glass panels (A and B) back in the correct sequence. The first panel (A) has a decorative frame. The screen-printing zone must face the inner side of the door. Make sure that after the installation the surface of the glass panel frame (A) on the screen-printing zones is not rough when you touch it.

Make sure that you install the middle panel of glass in the seats correctly.

10.7 Replacing the lamp
Put a cloth on the bottom of the interior of the appliance. It prevents damage to the lamp glass cover and the cavity.

Disconnect the fuse before you replace the lamp.
The lamp and the lamp glass cover can be hot.

CAUTION!
Always hold the halogen lamp with a cloth to prevent grease residue from burning on the lamp.
- Deactivate the appliance.
- Remove the fuses from the fuse box or deactivate the circuit breaker.
The back lamp
- Turn the lamp glass cover counterclockwise to remove it.
- Clean the glass cover.
- Replace the lamp with a suitable 300 ^ C heat-resistant lamp.

The fan and lamp continue to operate.
Keep food warm
Choose the lowest possible temperature setting to use residual heat and keep a meal warm. The display shows the residual heat indicator or temperature.
Moist Fan Baking
Function designed to save energy during cooking. It operates in such a way that the temperature in the oven cavity may differ from the temperature indicated on the display during a cooking cycle and cooking times may be different from the cooking times in other programmes.
